expired MS Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 LIMITED STORE STOCK ONLY $30 Cashback gives $44.99! - OW
This was posted 11 months 16 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
Link is to the Officeworks site listing this as $79.00. I've seen it in two store on the clearance table for $30.
A quick check of the OW site list 3 other stores close by with limited stock - no guarantee that it will be $30 there though.
Coburg and Hawthorn had them at $30 - Hawthorn had a stack of them but they were going quickly with people buying more than one. RRP is $149.95 and the Microsoft cashback deal lists the cashback at $44.99
Hopefully you can find some more - I know the frustration of limited stock deals but this seemed good and other OW's indicate some stock (low). Call before visiting. Let's see if I make $15 on this LOL
P.S. It scanned at $79 but the guy applied the discount without me asking.

careful when you ask them: i specifically asked south yarra if they had them on clearance at $30…he must have thought i said "eighty dollars", because when i went down, they said "it is clearance - $79".
they have 26 at Doncaster if you wanna try your luck…(didn't check, too far)
disappointing, cause i actually wanted one of those keyboards (if it was free, let alone getting paid $15 to take it)! if anyone bought a stack of them just to make $15 on the cashback, and isn't using/selling the actual keyboard, i would gladly take it off your hands!
+2 votescaprimulgus on 04/06/2012 - 08:46 ¶in the past, officeworks have not pricematched receipts for me. they've said that they will pricematch catalogue sales only, not receipts (even officeworks receipts, cause i had them too!).
but try your luck, you might get a lenient manager…good luck!

Brought 2 at Officeworks Chadstone (VIC) on Warrigal Rd - got there about 7.20 and there were only 3 on the shelf.
Took them to the counter and got them price checked. $79 - I mentioned they were a clearance item at stores including ones above and he price matched as a clearance item for $30 each.
Going to pair with Samsung Galaxy S3 as believe this is possible.
Under Microsoft T&C we are allowed 3 items now - does anyone know if it has to be done as two registered claims even though they are on the same invoice ?
brucefromaustralia on 04/06/2012 - 11:05 ¶Just email/send 2 (scanned/photocopied/even take a photo - advice from promoter) copies of same receipt for 2 purchases - with 2 claims. I did that & got email that my 2 claims with copies of the 1 receipt has been validated & will receive cashback in 2-3 weeks. (Emailed a week ago.)

Upvote for great keyboard. I've been using one for going on a year now. My only issue (minor) with it is that it falls asleep very quickly and there's no way to control it on a Mac. I think in Windows it's possible to prevent sleep.
I'd grab another one in a heartbeat if I could get to an OW with stock.

Went to Melbourne Collins St store. Had copy of receipt attached to this thread. They only had two in stock, which were opened returns. Manager refused to honour Hawthorn store price because she said all stores have discretion to set clearance prices and she doesn't have to match it.
She said best she would do was $55. I took one anyway because it seems worth it for $10.
ShipShapeRC on 04/06/2012 - 10:45 ¶As usual, Bendigo store won't honor anything I see on Ozbargain. Suggested I drive to Melbourne - Shhhhhheah right!
Phil Anthropist on 04/06/2012 - 11:02 ¶Hi Guys - The one I bought had just 'clearance' stuck on the box rather than some other items which had the usual customer returns or damaged carton sticker on it. I think the guy at the checkout just chose a random override code. The boxes looked fine on most of the clearance stock of keyboards.
They did have some logitech 5.1 speakers there too which were customer returns but were an ok $40 - Z506 possibly
Perhaps Kalvin can check his receipt to see if it mentions 'soiled/damaged' as he bought two from Hawthorne.
Regardless - as the price matching seems to be random and Hawthorne are sold out I'll mark the deal as expired. I just hope this doesn't further reduce the price matching chance for some.
Cheers!

I had to ask really nicely to get this and they eventually did it as a price match with Hawthorn.

+3 votesKing Tightarse on 04/06/2012 - 20:53 ¶WTF .
Just general BS from them so they don't have to honor it.
There's two (genuine obviously who would bother) receipts in this thread that sure as hell aren't fraudulent The OP and many others bought them at Coburg and Hawthorn…. so thats all "fraudulent" too I suppose (massive eye roll)Every receipt has a unique transaction number.
They are brimming full of it.
Cryptarcadian on 04/06/2012 - 20:44 ¶In NSW, no stock in Glebe or Five Dock
Visited North Ryde, was told they wouldn't price-match the receipt because the phone number printed on it for the Hawthorne store didn't match what they had on record, and this led them to believe it was a fraudulent receipt!
+1 votePhil Anthropist on 04/06/2012 - 21:57 ¶LOL so I would commit the offense of fraud just to reduce the price of a keyboard from $79 to $30. Yeah really worth throwing my career away for. Plus get all details correct except for the phone number which is available online. I suppose Kelvin did the same as he stated he got two from there also.
From the OW website:
Hawthorn Officeworks
612 Burwood Road, Hawthorn East VIC 3123 03 9861 5200Looks right to me but maybe they mistook the 5 for a 6 - crappy phone cam lol.
Cryptarcadian on 04/06/2012 - 23:57 ¶Yeah, it was truly ridiculous.
The manager later also said he wouldn't honour a price-match because it had been marked down for being soiled/damaged, which admittedly wasn't as unreasonable.
Anyway, thanks for posting the deal! It was worth a try.

Sales staff in Midland (WA) refused to price match the receipt as it was a soiled/damaged item. They only had one on display remaining which they offered for $49, not as good as $30 but still a good deal given the cashback. I am happy with the purchase and well worth the morning drive and the 5 minutes spend with sales staff. Thanks OP.
