sidenote, Still holding out for another 10% general visa/mc gift cards deal… last I remember Monster estimated sometime around October… 🤞

    • We always get a couple thousand worth. Then you can use them on a deal like this and double down.

    Great timing.

I just got a call out of the blue that says I have a virus on my computer….

  • Bit irresponsible for them to put that up today.

    • Iirc Woolworths have asked OzBargainers not to post advance weekly deals based on this previous merchant takedown request

Lawyer letter from Piper Alderman, who represents Woolworths. Basically Weekly "specials" pricing information are confidential information. It cannot be published until catalogues are out. Therefore

      • Immediate removal of the page
      • Future weekly specials cannot be published until the catalogue is out
      • Sorry I meant Woolworths staff.

      • Weekly "specials" pricing information are confidential information.

If it's that confidential then the Woolworths Brickworks store wouldn't have had put these banner up today. So I reckon its not really that confidential, after its been made public to all Woolies store customers.

Sometimes the GC deal doesn't show up on catalogues (may be like State restricted or something else like that)

      • +6

That is for catalogues only. As this is a leak by Woolworths themselves this post is okay to stay up.

  • can i use my everyday rewards shop off dollars to buy them?

    • +1

      You can
after you figure out how to time travel in past

But currently no, in near past you could use them if you had over $5000 Rewards dollars, (but I think they patched that)

in more past you could just pay for gift cards straight with Everyday Rewards dollars

  • If you need them now, there is a previous deal that finishes at 5pm today.

    • This week's deal looks like only 10x points can be earned from the OnlyOne Visa card series.
And haven't seen anyone had posted for this deal.

      • +1

        It’s because:

        • OzBargain generally detests seeing any deals for prepaid gift cards where the bonus points you earn is worth less than the gift card purchase fee.

        • There was a price error where Woolworths accidentally sold the OnlyONE DIY & Home Improvement Visa gift card at a 10% discount, instead of a 10x Everyday Rewards points bonus. That got people rather excited.

        • The 10x points on the other category-restricted Visa gift cards is lower than a recent 20x points deal.

WookieMonster !!! Reminds me of him/her whenever there is a GC deal :)

    • +2

Lol I guess that’s what people on here largely know me for.

  • Does any know what the card expiry on these are?

    • +1

It depends on what you mean by card expiry.

      • The balance on a physical Ultimate gift card expires three years from the date of issue.

      • The expiry date you use for card-not-present purchases (e.g. online purchases) for physical Ultimate gift cards is 12/2029.

      • Anyone had any luck getting an expired card reissued? Do they still work after the 3 years?

      • Hi Monster, just a quick question not relating to this thread. Do we earn flybuys points when buying Coles and Myer Group gift cards? Thanks.

        • No

          • @WookieMonster: Thank you. I thought so. Only third party issued giftcards will earn flybuys base points.

            • @bbking18: Yes, that's true at Coles.

              • @WookieMonster: Yes, at Coles only. Would it be the same at Kmart, Target or Liquorland? Never thought of this. Curious now. So I would say we won't earn any flybuys points at Coles,Kmart, Liquorland, Coles Express and Target when buying any Coles issued giftcards, including Coles Myer group giftcard. And we earn flybuys base points at Coles for third party giftcards. Am I right?

                • @bbking18: I have no idea about Coles Express, Kmart, Target or Officeworks, because I've never purchased third-party gift cards from the first three, and I only purchased third-party gift cards from Officeworks when they did not accept Flybuys.

Liquorland and First Choice Liquor don't sell third-party gift cards, so that is a moot point.

The rest of your comment looks correct to me.

                  • +1

@WookieMonster: Thanks again. I have never purchased gift cards from Kmart, Target, Liquorland and Officeworks too. Just curious.

  • No Catch in there. I've got to buy a bed from them. They have the lowest price for delivery to NT

  • +3

Looks like it's apply to all series of the Ultimate cards, not limiting to Him, Her, Kids & Teens card.
(Referring to page 31 of Woolworths catalogue)

    • +2

Yes can confirm - just purchased a $500 Ultimate Home card and received 10,000 points. Off to the Good Guys now!

  • Off topic, I thought gift cards don't earn you reward points in general?

    • +3

Correct they dont earn you standard rewards points.

You earn bonus rewards points only

  • Does anyone know if you can stack it with the Woolworths Supermarket Promotional Gift Card?

    re: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/717498

  • By the way these gift cards don't let you convert to JB cards online - will try in store tomorrow

    • +1

I reckon you can go instore and buy gift cards from inside the store. Thus convert them to JB hifi or any other GC

      • My girlfriend just pointed out I can probably do that online - trying now haha

  • What is the max limit amount of these gift cards I can use at JB hifi for one purhcase? looking to purchase a fridge using these.
