  • battery life?

  • Please fix the error

    Manufacturer Dell ? ? ?
    Model ELITEBOOK X360 1030 G2

  • Anyone got any experience on this laptop to give some feedback, in particular battery time? Specs seem pretty good, interested to pick one up for my wife.

      Got the ELITEBOOK X360 1030 G3 from work, similar model I presume…
Pretty lightweight, slim screen (although probably TN), performance is pretty snappy for office work. Dont know about gaming (even though mine one has a radeon graphics card but never gamed on it obviously)…overall pretty nice laptop

only downside I notice is the battery life not great, fully charged + battery saver on only gets me about 3hrs. But this could be due to being a corporate laptop after X years of usage

=( still waiting for a quad core, 1080p, ~$400 laptop to pop up on OzB

    • This 2 core CPU is not as bad as you might think.

Well this 2-core i7 CPU compared to the 4-core i5 8250U CPU is only 7% slower.

Even though it has half the cores. It has almost double the clock speed.

      i7 7600U = 2 Cores, 4 Threads @2.80 GHz, Kaby Lake.

      vs

      i5-8250U = 4 Cores, 8 Threads @1.60 GHz, Kaby Lake R.

I think its suitable as a budget computing solution.

If you pay any more you might as well go for a brand new laptop with a 5500u
with double the ram and double the storage capacity. Unless you really want stuff like touch screen and LTE.
