  • Film in the thumbnail!

    • Lol, what a coincidence. No idea if film is also bargain :)

      • +2

Even if you get cheap film they get ya in the dev and scan costs!

  • AU stock?

    • +1

From the description of one of the listings:

"All our products come with FujiFilm Australia Warranty. Buy with confidence from a reputable seller. digiDirect does not sell grey-import or grey-market stock."

  • 16-80 is a really good lens for travel, well, for anything really, apart from extreme cases

sadly, for me it wasn't enough, and I effectively replaced it with 3 lenses:

10-24/4 for architecture and other ultrawide shenanigans.10mm is waaaaay more mind blowing than 16mm
23/2 for when I need to go light, and can only take one lens
90/2 when I reeeeeeally need that shallow DOF for portraits and other shenanigans where F2 comes handy

if only 16-80/4 could have been a 10-90/2 in the same weight and same sharpness.. lol

I wish DigiDirect had the repeat of this deal I happily picked up X-T3 for $1169 a month and a half ago. I am not keen paying almost a $1k more for IBIS in X-T4

    • 10-90/2 is not possible..16-80 2.8/2(very hard) is a sweet spot and I do think they can manage to make it but it will be painful to all their other lenses.

      • +2

yeah I know I'm dreaming. like every other photographer out there. we want a 18-300/2 in a body of a prime, with good sharpness and microcontrast, for a price of a BigMac meal

but life isn't that simple :) neither are optics and physics

        • The thought of this makes me weak at the knees

    • My fav is the 56mm, APD is unnecessary - great lens.

      • +1

I liked it, too, it's getting a bit long in the tooth though, and I reckon that's the next lens they HAVE to release a 2nd version of: it needs a better AF system, and it needs WR.

if they do, I might sell my 90/2 to get one, although maybe I'll just get one anyway. 90/2 focuses super fast, is impossibly sharp wide open, has superb micro-contrast and has WR so I can shoot in the rain with my X-T3. bingo

but 52/1.2 perspective is fantastic for a lot of shots, 90 is a bit too limiting at times. but super good when you have enough distance

      • +1

haha I guessed it right: WR version of 56/1.2 has been announced

    • So are you only using these now, or are you also lugging the 16-80?

      • yeah I only have those. 10-24/4, 23/2, 90/2

    • I use the 14mm, 27mm and 18-135mm for travel, 18-135 is a bit old and slow but passable good results.
XC50-230 is a fantastic travel lens as well, but only pack it when i need extra length (wildlife for example), range is great, weight is low and quality of shots quite good for the price. No Aperture on lens is the drawback but acceptable.
Would love the 70-300 as results are great but it's not cheap!

      • yeah I am tempted to grab xc50-230 at this price, love the tele perspective. my fav on Canon full frame RF was 100-400 lens. was solid fun, but the setup was just too damn cumbersome.

ps. grabbed xc50-230. $200 of awesomeness. summer is coming. all I need

        • You won't be disappointed, the 50-230 is really fun and great value at that price

  • Great price on the 70-300, I paid fractionally more second-hand with no regrets as it’s a ripper lens.

    • Out of stock :(

Wish they had the 150-600 as part of this.

      • Back in stock

        • Must have missed it and it's out of stock again.

          • @Jamesfromoz: I checked and it seems they only added 3 to stock levels. Best to keep checking regularly depending on how keen you are.

          • @Jamesfromoz: 2 in stock atm, they added 5 yesterday it seems.

            • @mrderrickc: I was one of the people who bought one ;)

Got the 150-600 too which is a killer price but I'm not a wildlife person.
