On sale for the same price are two different Deepcool CPU coolers which a good option if you're after a sufficient air cooler without spending too much money. Both are compatible with the latest Intel LGA1700 and AMD AM4/5 sockets. There is a "Save an extra 15% when you apply this voucher" tickbox under the price of each.

The GAMMAXX GT BK features a 120mm fan with 4 heatpipes, RGB with 12 pin motherboard header, fan speed of 500-1500 RPM, max airflow of 56.5 CFM and suitable for CPU's with up to 150W TDP.

While the GAMMAXX GTE V2 White features a 120mm fan with 4 heatpipes, white lighting, fan speed of 500-1650 RPM, max airflow of 64.5 CFM and suitable for CPU's with up to 150W TDP.

In summary the GTE V2 is a better cooler since it can provide a faster fan speed with more airflow over the GT BK, however if you're after RGB and don't mind losing a bit of airlfow then the GT BK is a good option.

    • I didn't even see your comments there about these on sale. Nice.

    • The Gammaxx GT is the better cooler performance wise and actual RGB, the 400 XT is permanently fixed in rainbow mode, cannot change the colours but does look very nice.

      • Are you sure about that?

        The GTE V2 and 400 V2 fans max out at 1650rpm for 64.5CFM @ 27.8 decibels.

The GT and XT variants max out at 1500rpm for 56.5 CFM @ 27 decibels.

The S models are capped at 1300rpm yielding 50.8 CFM @ 14.4 decibels.

Since all use the same stock heatsink, it seems very unlikely that GT versions could match, nevermind exceed GTE V2 or 400 V2 performance.

  • Surprisingly decent cooler for the cost.
I have a Gammaxx GT BK running a Ryzen 5900x without any issues.

  • Is this worth the upgrade from the stock wraith prism cooler?

    • If you value your earballs, absolutely.

      Cooler and quieter.

    • I use a wraith prism on my r5 3600 in an nr200 case with a side intake and have no issues with thermals or noise. I guess it depends on your case/airflow but I find it to be a great stock cooler. I wouldn't think the $$ is worth it

      • You are correct that mileage would vary based on case cooling configurations, but most online reviews of the wraith prism say it is prone to rattling, has a unique sound signature which makes it more discernable over other case and cpu fans, and is very noisy at max speed.

Whilst it is certainly the best of the three stock wraith coolers, fan speed ramps up noticeably and thermal throttling frequently occurred in many reviews - slowing the CPU speed under load to maintain temps. If you don't overclock, game at high settings or steam/encode it may not ever be an issue, but these DeepCool hsf's are absolutely more efficient, cooler and quieter, and are amongst the best $34 you could spend if looking to improve performance or noise of any system.

Got this one the other day. Was surprised at how big it was. But I got it in finally and it's running real cool. Here's some pics before installation, and after.
