I Know it's a fair while off, but compared to the $150+ collector's edition I think this is pretty good at under $10 a movie. (alot of the movies still selling at over 10 bucks a pop)
Update: Price has dropped to £32.74 now making it more like $51.26AUD previously $58.23AUD

Iron Man: Billionaire industrialist and genius inventor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. Instead, using his intelligence and ingenuity, he builds a high-tech suit of armor and escapes captivity. When he uncovers a nefarious plot with global implications, he dons his powerful armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man.
The Incredible Hulk: The Incredible Hulk kicks off an all-new, explosive and action-packed epic of one of the most popular super heroes of all time. In this new beginning, scientist Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk.
Iron Man 2: With the world now aware of his dual life as the armored superhero Iron Man, billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) faces pressure from the government, the press, and the public to share his technology with the military. Unwilling to let go of his invention, Stark, along with Pepper Potts and James "Rhodey" Rhodes at his side, must forge new alliances – and confront powerful enemies.
Thor: The world has many heroes…but only one is a god. When the arrogant warrior Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is banished to Earth from his homeworld of Asgard, he must fight to reclaim his lost powers. Pursued by an invasion force sent to destroy him, the fallen God of Thunder must rise to the battle and learn what it takes to become a true hero.
Captain America: Captain America leads the fight for freedom in the action-packed blockbuster starring Chris Evans as the ultimate weapon against evil! When a terrifying force threatens everyone across the globe, the world's greatest soldier wages war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving).
Avengers Assemble: When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the International peacekeeping agency S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself needing a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Iconic Marvel Super Heroes including Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor and Captain America assemble for the first time ever in this action-packed Marvel saga.

+1 voteIf you are thinking of ordering it, you're probably better off preordering it now. They won't charge you until it ships and you are free to cancel at any time. Often the price goes up yet Amazon will give you the lowest price between the time you order and the time it ships. If you wait you can get hit with a higher price.

garratt torlesse on 09/06/2012 - 15:11 ¶Probably wait until Thor2, Capt America 2, Ironman 3 and Avengers 2 comes out before buying the set:)

swimmingtoad on 09/06/2012 - 22:24 ¶Hoping so, although its not a FOX release, who love releasing in slim cases. Nothing is more annoying than a multi case for a collection that hasn't finished yet. Disney are the distributor, which is a saving factor as they tend to like thick-individual cases in sets.

Probably done to minimise confusion with the old British tv show (and US remake) the Avengers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Avengers_%28TV_series%29
ShrewdOrJustTight on 09/06/2012 - 21:45 ¶Good deal, but I already have most of those movies. Shame.
+2 votesspawnpoint on 10/06/2012 - 01:24 ¶its useless though..3D wasn't as good as lets say Transformers DoTM(opening moon scene) or Final Destination 5.
Rule of Thumb for buying 3D movies, either animated or be shot in 3D rather than post production..
Regardless of the quality of conversion, for me, if it comes in 3D I buy it in 3D, basically prevents double dipping down the track and if I watch it and think it's not a keeper (examples Pirates Stranger Tides, Green Lantern), 3D versions tend to have excellent resale value.
SirFlibbled on 13/06/2012 - 15:07 ¶when the difference is 2GBP like it is, I've ordered the 3D version and I don't have a 3D TV.

This is a good deal if you're not super keen on extras. Unfortunately I am, and would love to see a lengthy documentary on the formation of Marvel Studios with this specifically in mind, going through all the movies, casting, plans, ups and downs. It would be awesome. I'll plus this anyway.

This is probably more up your alley then.

Approx $60 delivered, BLU-RAY…the only reason this doesn't have more upvotes is because the release date is so far away! I would have purchased this right now, but it's over 3 months away :P
