Can The Victorian Government Energy Saving Bonus Be Accessed as Well as Cashrewards or ShopBack Cashbacks

I'm ready to look into my energy companies and notice quite a few cashbacks on Shopback and Cashrewards but also want to get the Victorian Government Energy Saving bonus.

Has anybody claimed the Energy Saving Bonus and also got cashback. Are there any tricks or pitfalls to watch out for (other than bad electricity companies :) ).

    Two seperate offerings.

You just fill in a form to get your $250.

After that you can switch providers and get any associated cashback (if it's worthwhile).

you want a cashback on free money?

No, it's not free money. The cashback is on the money spent on an electricity plan. It may be best to understand the question before criticising it.

The $250 Power Saving Bonus for Victorian households is now open. Before submitting an application for the bonus, please read the eligibility requirements.

        Eligibility requirements:

You must be a Victorian residential energy consumer (i.e. have a residential electricity account).
You must be the account holder
Only one payment is available per household
As part of the Power Saving Bonus application process, we will present you with information about the best priced electricity offers available in your area. You are not required to switch offers or retailers.

The application process will take five to ten minutes of your time, and you will need to have a recent electricity bill with you.

The Victorian Government Energy Saving Bonus is paid directly into your bank account for using https://compare.energy.vic.gov.au. There is no requirement to sign up to a new provider. This is very clearly stated on the website.

Cashbacks are paid for signing up to specific providers using referral/promotional links.

      • Lol.. no

You literally just have to fill out a form, and a few weeks later, you get paid. You don’t need to sign up with any new energy company
