Samsung 65" QLED 4K Smart TV Q70B $1958 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ to Metro) @ Billy Guyatts

150

Yes I missed out on some great deals on TV (including TGG price error) but I think this TV has good specs. Currently on special for $1,958 (delivered) on Billy Guyatts. I bought this from Appliances Online who beat the price to $1,900 and combined with Samsung sound bar (HW-Q930B/XY) also price beating Billy Guyatts to $900. Combined value of $2,800 which I am assuming is eligible for samsung cashback redemption of $250. Final price is better than Samsung Education Store which actually has the TV for $1,689.35 and soundbar for $1,079.10 delivered (but not eligible for cashback on Samsung Education Store).

    • Bugger! Interestingly neither Billy Guyatts or Appliance Central are listed as participating resellers for the Samsung promotion. Best to get price beat with Appliances Online.

      • you missed another $8 saving - soundbar $892

if you just done the deal today, call & ask to match those prices

        • No go on price match from Appliance Central. Reason was fuzzy as. Also, someone offered me a price higher than what I actually ordered for earlier in the day (even though I did start the conversation by saying I have already ordered. Sucks this is not stocked at JB or TGG otherwise I would be going elsewhere to have the price beat.

          • @naman8913: Should have cancelled it if allowed

            • @RogueWolf: Was thinking to do that but unfortunately not many retailers have this particular TV in stock so happy to compromise. Oh well…

  • This or Sony X90K?

    • I lean toward Sony X90K

    • This doesn't have local dimming I think.

What was the TGG price error?

I'm going to tell myself that we don't need a new TV, drink some tea, and calm down.

        • when you finished your tea, and came back, the deal was gone.

I feel like that's just a normal promotion.

Didn’t Hisense U8H just got an excellent review? It’s the same price with no deals, and looks like US prices already seeing heavy discount. I wonder how they compare and which is more worth it…

they fooled us for the last year models, have plenty of comments here. US models>AU models. dodgy Hisense

      • Ahh didn’t know this. That is super dodgy. I think I might never but Hisense if they are doing this.

glad you know now, be very careful with this year models, I don't believe they suddenly change their pattern if we don't give them a strong move

@ntt: Legend, noted. Saved me from so much headache potentially…

      • Did amazon usa send over the us models to Australia?

        • I wouldn't recommend it even if they do. What if something is wrong with the TV in a year?

    • Was the review for the US or AU version?
Seems AU Hisense isn’t as good?

      • Yeah someone else just said the same thing. It was from digital trends so surely US model

    1689$ through education portal

    • Yes but not eligible for Samsung cashback offer through Education Store. Also, the soundbars seem to be more expensive there than what you can find elsewhere.

      • So if you want TV only, cheaper to buy through education store no?

        • You are correct sir!

        • But lets not forget education store is not open to all for access (same as TGGC). So YMMV

      • So how does the soundbar cashback offer work? If you purchase the participating TV + soundbar, how much are you getting back?

The cheapest soundbar appears to be $400, and Good Guys/ JB advertised a $400 cashback. Does it mean I get a free soundbar??

    • How much is 75" now? Did it come down under $2000 again since last deal?

      • 2200~

    • I just noticed there is Samsung Government Program but rarely mentioned here. Not sure if this works similarly to the edu one.

      • +1

Samsung Gov, edu or Corp work similar but discount may not the same.

  • Can anyone confirm if this has xbox game streaming built in?
