is this good as a video file screatch drive ? <~ actual user case, not benchmarking

Ha just thinking similar thoughts.. I can run my astrophotography stacking from this without touching my main drive

      • I imagine stacking will be bottlenecked by CPU or RAM before this drive.

        • Oh totally. It’s just that PixInsight adds processed files to a directory before integration. One target can take up heaps of space

    Showing 199

    • I also only see $199

      $179 when added to cart.

    • iiiiii don't get it?

There is also a third freebie with it. Toshiba SP02 32GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Triple Pack

    • Shows up on the main page for me, but when I add the ssd to cart it's not there to add it for free. If I add it separately no luck either :(

Is this good enough SSD for OS, apps & onedrive?

EDIT Only limit 1 per customer :(

    • Yes. Will be fine. But maybe not ideal. You could spend more on a TLC drive but likely won't notice any difference.

  • does this work with PS5?

    • +1

      Too slow so no.

  • if no dram don't touch.

  • Just wondering, using this in some usb3 case either as
ext drive for laptop that only has not enough
offline backup drive (mirror of nas)

Are these good usecases? In both they wouldn't be plugged in all the time, maybe once/wk to once/mth.

Currently have 2.5" HDD, but this is probably big enough.

  • Considering the size of M.2 ssd they’re still extremely overpriced IT components. It all comes down to demand and demand is high
