43% score from Choice's review in Feb-22:
Good points
• Very good ease of use.• Comparatively very quiet on low fan setting.Bad points
• Poor for dust removal.• Poor for smoke removal.• Very poor for VOC (volatile organic compounds) removal.• Poor for comparative energy efficiency.• No cord storage.• Comparatively noisy on high fan setting.Ok…so it's easy to use but doesn't really work! Is that what they are saying? Which one did Choice recommend?
lmao
Aldi is selling air purifier this week for $129.
How can you even buy replacement filters on the aldi one when it's a special buy?
The Kmart one is $159 (with a slightly higher CADR of 320m³/h vs 280m³/h) and has replacement filters.
Both don't have app control though.
Kmart has a tendency of upgrading things like this every year or two so may not be able to get replacements for the life of the product (unless they maintain the same filters, they may 🤷🏼♀️)
Add a $1 item to save $10 more.
I've got this one and honestly it's a waste of money. To filter the air effectively even in a small bedroom, you'll need a much bigger machine than this. I've just left this on permanently and I've noticed no change in air quality or in the amount of dust in the room.
What air filters do people actually recommend?
From a cost per efficiency and noise perspective, Ikea Starkvind or anything from SmartAir.
You can actually calculate the optimal set up.
Any reviews feom ozb gang?
