Flash Trend Won't Do RMA

Sorry for the wall of text.

In April I purchased a 1tb microSD from Flash Trend and last month it stopped working (wouldn't show up on multiple devices and it would not format) and I asked for a RMA.

I told them I don't have the original packaging for it and I took photos of the microSD card showing the numbers at the back. They accepted and asked me to return the microSD card and they've taken weeks just to update me and they finally replied with-

"Thanks for your message. Yes, we have received your return. Our technical department has confirmed that this 1 TB Micro SD card is not from us. Please see the picture attached. The card back is different. Our card does not have any white code and black things.

We sell only brand new, retail packaging, 100% genuine Sandisk Micro SD card. And we send them a lot for many years. This card you may buy from another place"

This is the only 1tb microSD card I've ever owned, and I have only purchased it from them.

Also, I've researched about fake and genuine SanDisk cards which show fakes don't have any writing on the back and the real ones do. So does that mean Flash Trend are selling fakes? Just what I don't understand is that they saw photos of my microSD card (back and front) before accepting and asking me to ship it to them.

What options do I have? I'm lost. Not much I'm guessing?

Edit: many emails later with me sending them articles on how to spot a fake SD card (apparently they said anything with a green back is fake but google says otherwise) and asking them to return my original microSD just to get it over and done with, they decided to ship me a new one.

    • That's a good idea. If I have to go full Karen then so be it.

If you bought with paypal or a credit card you may have buyer protections

Charge back, seems like they are trying to get out of their warranty responsibilities. On the other hand maybe there is alot of fakes out there.

  • The same option thats always available: take them to court. Will you win? Is it worth it?

Sounds like on one instance they actually sold genuine stock and are confused
