        Whenever I ask for tomato ketchup and they ask me how much I want, I reply, true Ozbargain-style, "As much as you're legally allowed to give me."

          IME Hungry Jacks just hand them over.

          McDonalds give an allocation with nuggets otherwise charge, they seem to have really tightened up. Though if you ask right at the end of the transaction and they're busy they might just throw you one :)

          Salad along with the burgers actually makes me feel less "yuk" in the stomach after McDonalds. (usual order 3 chicken n' cheese, 2 double cheeseburgers, 1 small fries and a garden salad). Great… now I'm hungry.

        double cheeseburger and chicken cheese are off the menu now (chicken cheese is back to $2.95) and the loose change menu only applies between 10:30am - midnight now . shame because the majority of visits i make are after midnight .. and also for a chicken cheese. the only burger is a double beef & bacon and they've bought back the soft serve w/ flake for 80c. i spend way too much time there ..

          Ive only had it once (the chicken and cheese) and imo, giving half a cheese is not a very good first impression. They might as well give half a chicken too.

      *Girl at counter goes and asks to manager who comes over.

      Guy on drivethrough: "Yeh some lady just asked me about it as well… weird"

      Me: "I just heard it on the radio, Apparently it called a 'penny pincher' menu…?"

      Our store had the Penny Pinchers poster up on the drive-thru menu board tonight. As someone said, they've changed the price of the nuggets and cheeseburger from $1 to $2 after releasing the ad since the version above from the ad agency where everything is only $1.

      I was able to get a Bbq Bacon Cheeseburger for $2 and in a meal with large fries and large frozen beverage for $5.95 total. Better value than McDonalds, where they don't allow you to combine the Value Picks burgers as a meal.

    Went to Carindale HJs this morning and both the drive through chick and manager treated me like I was an idiot when I asked for the $2 nuggets. Continued to treat me like an idiot when I told them that they have a penny pincher menu. And still said they had no idea what was going on when I showed them the ad. So well organised!

        I've used the iPrimus coupon at this store before. Quite a few times actually! Did your coupon have the iPrimus part on it? The ones I'm using didn't, so maybe try without.

        And yeah, went in tonight and the guy said this new menu hadn't started yet. Couldn't see any marketing for it either. Happily gave us the $1 tender grill burgers though, and he was actually the one to mention it :P

    I asked for the nuggets today and was very rudely told that you need vouchers yet I told her there's no mention of that on the ad.

    Then she walk off on me leaving another guy to deal with me as he said that it shows up on the register but wasn't aware on how to put it through, I ended up walking out and grabbed $2 cheeseburgers from Red Rooster.

    I went to the HJ's this afternoon in Brisbane CBD (Queen St) and they did not have the penny pincher menu on display, so I'm guessing that they too have no idea about this. I can however confirm that I got a tendergrill burger for $1 by showing it on my phone :)

    I can confirm this deal for hungry jack in temple on prince highway in Sydney.
    But you only get 5 nuggets and the bbq bacon cheese burger is only $2.
    The staff is not really well inform, but they have the posters up and an instruction panel behind the counter on how to make the order.
    I order one of everything, end up costing me $7
