2.9% Payment handling fees applied if you select credit card / PayPal / Debit card payment option
Select Bank transfer/Commbank Kaching payment option to avoid handling fees

PayPal User Agreement section 4.6 covers this.
"No Surcharges. You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as a payment method. You may charge a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services, as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge and is not higher than the handling fee you charge for non-PayPal transactions."Not sure what this means given you have CC with the same fee, but bank transfer with no fee.
-4 votesNot sure if it applied to shopping carts/merchant/business account. But let's call it handling fees then :)
And just feel strange that many other retails store out there charge 1-3% when customer try to use credit card….
This is so complicated. But we've been doing this for years, included "handling fees" in the shopping cart total before customer check out.
Any comment welcome :)
Thanks

Really you shouldn't be charging a percentage for a CC payment either because the bank charges the merchant a fixed transaction fee ($0.14 per transaction or so?). So if you're charging the customer 2.9% for a credit card transaction, you are making money off any product sold over about $5…
-4 votesMoney booker charge us more than 2.9% and a fixed transaction fees, and paypal charge us 3.4% + fixed transaction fees.
That is why we give bank transfer option without any charges because bank charge nothing for transferring money.
We are working to get a CC processing option from the local bank but they still charge a fixed % + fixed transaction fees.
Being honest here.
Thanks

highdealer on 13/06/2012 - 18:55 ¶Pay Pal only charge 2.4% + $0.30 per transaction.
You even get further discount if are a merchant and getting more than $5000 a month

All details are in the link.
It's either you are being dishonest or getting rip off by PayPal.
Also worth to notice paypal will charge you nothing if the customer send payment using paypal balance or bank transfer.
+1 voteWe are using Malaysia PayPal account. Please check the fees in /MY paypal.
And check in merchant receiving fees.It is actually 3.9% + 30 cents AUD

highdealer on 13/06/2012 - 19:28 ¶Why would you use Malaysian Paypal when you are an Australian business?
ShrewdOrJustTight on 14/06/2012 - 08:34 ¶Less visibility for the ATO?
$60+fees for D3 .. Not a bargain IMO

I think that only applies to ebay. http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-surcharges.html
"Sellers are not allowed to charge eBay buyers an additional fee for using ordinary forms of payment, including credit cards, electronic transfers, PayPal, ProPay, and Paymate. These costs should be included in the price of the item and should not be charged separately."
+1 voteThis can be had for $55 delivered (£34 after VAT removed) - physical copy I think?

alphonso89 on 13/06/2012 - 17:32 ¶how do you remove the VAT? do you have to enter your card details first?
+1 voteBargains4All on 13/06/2012 - 18:45 ¶Cheers mate! I just bought it from them : ). I was about to purchase it from Ozgameshop but the price increased from around $60~ to $73.

Talibanana on 13/06/2012 - 17:16 ¶whats the difference between buying a US version and AU/UK/EU ect.?
batiudrami on 13/06/2012 - 17:26 ¶No practical difference between English language versions at all - you can play on whichever server you like, and the real money auction house is locked to your Battle.Net account location, not your game key. However, Blizzard recently introduced a language lock so that if you purchase a Russian copy (for example), you are forced to play in Russian.

you can avoid all this ozbargain scrutiny by just incorporating your expenses into your selling price
i.e. raise your selling price by $1/$2
then offer a % discount for paying via bank transfer (e.g. the customer just transfers $1/$2 less)
this way you arent charging extra "handling" fees
Hi Lostn,
The stock coming in tomorrow is a digital stock, no box will be given. But we have boxes left before when our digital stock went out of stock(we remove the cd key from the box and send it to customers). That is why we have the box only for sale for $2 before.
We have boxes left so if you purchase the cd key and also want the box to keep you can pay the postage and we will ship them to you. The CD KEY and the box is separate.
The back order is digital because we only get the digital stocks tomorrow. We still have a couple hundred boxes left(EU) from the previous stock. We also getting physical copies in but not so soon because the supplier in EU is still out of stock.
Thanks

I think Paypal says in their t&c, that you're not allowed to charge a fee for paying with paypal.
