I just pre ordered a couple, and the price is much cheaper then eB and other places.
Ill keep looking for deals to share with everyone :)
There's no difference in quality between an asian version and an aussie version. I would suggest you evaluate why you put a higher value on the region coding when all it is designed to do is enable you to be sold to at higher prices from local retailers. Don't believe that Aussie retailers will crash if we buy our products overseas…
All that will happen is that retailers will be forced to sell in higher quantities with lower prices which is a win for retail in general. People like us will actually go to shopping centres regularly, and when they go to buy 1 cheap thing from one store, they might pick up 3 cheap things from 3 stores.
There used to be with PAL vs NTSC as PAL is a superior product… but those days are behind us now with 1080p standard.

+1 voteJB are far from the cheapest for games (even if you're talking locally). There have been times where it's been cheaper from Big W, Harvey Norman or another Aussie retailer.
That being said, no Australian retailer can compete with The Hut/Zavvi or Ozgameshop's prices.

+2 votesLook, I'm not going to neg this, because you seem genuine, and I hope you'll stick around, and for the exceedingly narrow category of "PS3 games from Australian online retailers", they just may be the cheapest, for all I know. But I can confidently tell you, without checking, that in both the "Games from Australian retailers" and "Australian (a.k.a. PAL or European) region games from online retailers", JB is barely even in the running.
JB had cheap CDs, then branched into cheap DVDs. When they announced that they were getting into the games business, I was very excited. But they jumped in with the same high prices as the game store chains (including obscenely-priced secondhand games), and when that didn't flop, their DVD prices started to drift north a little, too.
It used to be that you could go to JB, and be confident that if you weren't getting the very lowest price, you were getting a price fairly close to it, and you'd saved yourself the hassle of searching.

As with some others, the prices are OK but I'm not sure if they're bargains per-se. I also think generally stock being Australian for games matters very little apart from a few fringe cases where online servers or DLC may be locked to the location where the game was bought. The UK stores and a number of other places usually have the same games available, and given warranty is almost a non issue for games unlike say a computer, camera or whatever, the reason to go local is a lot less.
Some of the UK places are a bit slow to ship, but I've found that JB isn't exactly the quickest either.
+1 for effort but.

JB Hifi Buy 2 get one free deal is shit. All really old games and still massively overpriced.
Only game I could be bothered looking at, Age of Mythology.
http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/game/pc-games/age-of-mytholog... $18.98
is $9 at EB games. And if EB games is cheaper then your doing something wrong!
