So I bought one of these on Amazon at the full price a couple of months ago. I can't work our the difference between the ISV100w and the ISV200w. It's not power as they are both 1000w.
I just saw thin in the listing:
ISV-100W and ISV-200W have water shortage protection.
But 200W has dry protection additionally.
So 200W has double prodections.
ISV-200W solved the problem of water droplets on the screen when you cook.

ISV-200W price: $94.52 or $92.16 with eBay Plus.

ISV-200W is smaller but LED screen is bigger to view.

ISV-200W has dry protection. If water has all boiled away, the device will automatically stop working.

ISV-200W has larger controlling temperature range 0℃~90℃

    • Thanks for sharing, I think they both have the same temperature range. I just saw this on the listing:

  • Don't impulse buy without considering you really need a vacuum sealer to sous vide safely.

    • ziplock isnt the go?

something about the risk of bacteria going nuts if there's any air in the bag I think

        • +1

Nah, just an Internet myth perpetrated.by Big Vac Seal. ;-)

What the air does is make it float, this it's not submerged. But you just submerge, with a little bit of.the ziploc open & poking above the waterline and the air gets pushed out, then you seal.

Or I've got mates who use straws.to.suck the last bits out.

From what I’m reading, submerging the bag up to the zipper will remove all the air which should be easy in those zip lock branded bags with the big blue tabs at the top

      • Yes.

I disagree. I have had a couple of annovas since they kickstarted. I always thought that people who used zip locks were being cheap and slap dash. I use the immersion seal with a zip lock all the time when i have wetish or even full on liquid ingredients. Its so easy and quick. I have never had a safety issue. I do it this way even though one if my vacuum sealers can handle moist and i can also quickly turn off the vac and begin sealing immediately.

    • No you dont, zip lock bags, jars, or my favourite the common chicken egg - already sealed just drop in the water !

Less than $100 for both sous vide and sealer is a better deal.
