I was commenting in a similar deal recently stating that I got this deal, plus 6 months at half price. Since then, it's no longer possible to get that deal, but a friend of mine got one yesterday with an extra $20 off.
Edit: Sorry, I should clarify that I'm talking about the Virgin deal here.

I'm finding these carrier deals have less value with the cheap sims around.
24 mth cost: 29 * 24 = 696 -29 = 667/24 mth
$180 calls/mth, 200Mb data, infinte v2, 24mth optus warrantyor:
liveconnected $12/mth, kogan 389 + 20 = 697/24 mth (+30)
$500 calls/mth (2.8x better), $500 to lc (equal or worse), 1500MB data (7.5x better!), 1kb vs 12kb sessions (a lot better) , unlimited social network (a lot better) and optus network (zero to a lot better), 12mth kogan warranty. For me and possibly a lot of people, it is a much better deal to go with the second, not the voda deal.
it would cost 4c/day and the warranty diff, but unless I had a mate on voda that I called a real lot, I'd consider rolling my own here.
+1 voteThe Virgin deal is decent IMO (they use Optus too I think?), although it is a 24 month contract.
$696 for 24 months for the Nexus, with $450 worth of calls, unlimited calls & text Virgin to Virgin, 2.25GB monthly data allowance, and you can rollover your unused plan credit.
