SodaKING Classic Sparkling Machine Black 60L $50 C&C Only (VIP Membership Required) @ Spotlight

100

Look a lot cheaper than some of the others around. The Classic machine seems to be more expensive than the Spark that is regularly $50.

  • Kogan has a white one for 34.99, although if you are a VIP member in Spotlight then they have targeted $20 voucher when spending $50.

    • Or the voucher might be for everyone who signs up to VIP.

    • Kogan has a "spark", whatever that means ?

      • The Spark and the Classic are pretty much identical.

  • Got it for $30 with voucher code. Cheers OP. Bit if fun. What does the cola taste like? Always wanted to try one out.

    • Cheapest place for new gas cylinders? Mate says he gets his from Shell for around $20. I believe Soda Stream and Soda King cylinders are compatible?

  • So, are the soda stream/ king bottles universal?

Remember something about soda king being threaded.

Can you use empty 600ml coke bottle etc.

I was looking at buying one from Kogan, but it only comes with 1 X 1L bottle.

    • You can buy more bottles. About 16 bucks for 2x1L

      • I'd prefer smaller bottles (as that's kinda the point of soda stream I recon).

Ie a small coke bottle would be perfect..and costs just 10c in most states..not sure if Victoria have caught on to the whole recycle concept yet ;)

So, can you use normal bottles? Ie. Does the thing move up and down for different height bottles? Rubber at the top to create a seal, no matter what diameter the bottle is?

        • Nope… they are a wide necked bottle and standard coke bottles don't fit. There may be some kind of hack im not aware of though.

Can get 2x500mL bottles on amazon for 11.50.

  • One thing I found difficult with this design is removing the gas cylinder to fit a new one. They have to be unscrewed from the bottom and there is very little of the cylinder protruding which makes it hard to get any grip purchase to twist it. Other machines have a panel at the back that can be removed to make this process easier.
