Pretty good deal IMO. Haven't played the game myself yet but have only heard good things about it and for this price it's deffinitely worth a shot.

Just bought this on Xbox for $20 and it's indeed an awesome game. 8 bucks is a steal!

Apparently they patched it to include G27 support (the PC version) and I'm starting to wish I had a more powerful PC so I can use it!

I am using my G27 with Driver and it's awesome. I can't get the stick to work though.

Damn, I'm really tempted, even though I JUST bought it on Xbox. I wonder how well it would run on my 2010 Macbook Pro.

Does it use the full 900 degrees of steering?

        • +2

Unfortunately is does not use 900 degrees :(
I am not sure about your computer either, but they have the requirements listed on the Steam page.

Just had my local EB put away the collector Edition for me ($19). Thats a bargin …until I see OzBargain. $8.74 for deluxe edition… . . What to do?

Depends if you put any value on the CE or not. Do you want the little car? Or just to play the game?

You can always re-sell a CE… digital deluxe is yours forever if you like it or not. Personally I would probably go the CE. But not for the car, because my PC is a POS that might not run the game lol.

I've finished this game on a high end PC 1920x1200. At this price I'd recommend it to anyone who has even a passing interest in car/racing/demolition games. It is reminiscent of Burnout Paradise. I particularly liked the Classic Hollywood car chases using the car models from the movies. Too long ago now but an example is a chase in an old Mustang around San Francisco, pretty sweet sounding motor and pretty good drifting. I'm off to Steam to see what extras you get in the deluxe version because I will probably buy it again.

  • There's gonna be a huge Steam Summer Sale starting June 28th. Chances are the game might be down to $5 if you want to wait.

Also, this game has some DRM: Internet connection only needed to log in and start.

    • It's already 75% off. Games don't usually go any lower than that on Steam, especially newer ones.

  • I bought the game when it first came out on X360 and didnt stop playing it till I got to 100% game completion. It's that good. I think I might just pop it in tonight
