for some reason it's not clear bags of what … weeds ?

    • +5

      Even better - coffee.

    • +7

Grab a cheeky bag for the weekend.

  • +6

Works out to be 35% off cart total if you buy 2 bags of the same price coffee.

    • +4

Mate I need 50% off both bags if they want me to buy 2 bags.

      • Tell them I am not associated with ACR.

  • +4

FYI: The usual deal is 30% with free shipping. 25% and free shipping anytime with no deal but QR code from the coffee bag.
    Great coffee BTW

    • What's the 25% off code? I need a new bag but I threw mine out straight away :(

    • The usual deal is 30% with free shipping

the better deal is 40% off, which occasionally they have.

      • +3

        Usually only off Sumatra blend

  • +9

What a weird promotion! Airjo does great coffee, but would probably sell more if they just stuck with the usual 30-40% off.

Or gave us an OzB code. I like the Sumatra blend, but at $55/kg I find it easier to buy my regular coffee beans elsewhere

    • +1

They try to push you to buy 2kg of the same price blends this time around and you get 35% off. Other than the Sumatra blend has had 40% off before all other blends are usually 30% off. If you don’t drink fast enough maybe go half, 1 kg each with a mate?

    • +5

Yeah, I would have bought with 30% off but not with the clickbait email stating 70% off which turned out to be 35%.

    • Try ALDI medium roast, very good for $13/kg.
As it is, 1kg takes me a long time to get through at one cup per day (maybe two on the weekends).

Hard to justify spending more and buying more quantity. Ideally smaller bags would be better.
Sounds like these ones are always on sale so people jump at x% off when in fact they aren't even worth the normal price, or that good looking at the comments.

      • +1

Are the Aldi medium roast beans oily? I have also heard Aldi coffee beans are good value for money.

        • As Oily as KFC :)

        • Just try for yourself, pretty low risk for the price.
Best supermarket beans out there IMO.

  • where is the usual 40% off when you need it?

  • +1

Bought 1kg Enterprise last week… No crema whatsoever…

    • Are you joking?

    • +2

Might need to learn how to extract a coffee shot

      • +2

Even Coles coffee is giving me better crema. Beans look dull and dry. Roasting date on the bag is 26 Sep…

        • +1

If you are getting no crema on fresh beans that means your extraction is off. Even bad tasting fresh beans should produce crema.

Maybe you have to adjust your grind.

          • @Aureus: Bought 200g from my local café. Pure joy (but very expensive). I know how to adjust grind.

        • +1

I have the same problem with them. Very little Crema. The other coffee deal posted on here from limeblue is much much better.
Yes I know how to set the correct grind and extraction timings.

    • Get a bottomless :)

      • +1

Nah, I've got a bottomless and was getting good creamer before that with the normal handle (Gaggia Classic)
Probably just old beans or the machine.

    • I received my last batch the day after roast date - they definitely didn't show the characteristics I typically see when too fresh, like 90% crema. They were actually drinkable straight away.

    • I bought mine yesterday, in my hands in 24.5 hrs. It's bit too fresh (roasted yesterday), but crema is there. Also Enterprise.

  • Waiting for the old 40% off one bag deal

  • +9

To be honest, I’ve found other more premium roasters to be better quality. IMHO.

I thought these deals were great until I saw them coming up every few weeks. If it’s often 40% off, then that’s just the regular price lol

On a site like this, you could slap a discount on anything and people would be hooked

    • +1

Or maybe Coffee preference is very subjective and the people rebuying actually like the product.

I think some of Arlo's beans are fantastic, but IMO Sumatra is pretty average.

    • Got any recommendations?
      I have a Bdb + nz + espresso only!

I've been buying my stuff mainly from woolies, ranked in terms of my taste for ~reference

1 Campos roma (my fav so far)
      2 St ali espresso blend
      3 Campos superior
      4 Grinders medium
5 axil (light/medium filter coffee which I tried to espresso) - never liked it

    • Can you mention what premium roasters you are referring to?

  • +2

Their beans are not worth the advertised price but they are at the usual 40% off. This deal doesnt make much sense unless it covers bean varieties that arent usually inlcuded for the 40% off sale.

A word of warning though, these beans seem to go stale quickly, so I'd reccomend freezign the other bag until you need to use it to keep the fresher

    • +2

I thought I'm the only one thinking their beans go stale too quickly! I bought a 1kg bag a couple of times, make at least 1 cup everyday, stored the beans in an airtight container, and just around 2+ weeks they started to taste sour/acidic. Have to throw half of the bag away as I can't stand the taste!

      • +1

I only make one or two doubles each day. I divide into 250g and freeze. Give it half a day when I take it out of the freezer, and it's still pretty good. Far better than letting it sit out for a couple of weeks.

        • +1

This is the way unfortunately. We're 4 cups a day for a household and we can't make it through a single 1kg bag without them becoming stale in the stored bag.

      • I've had a similar experience with their beans. Goes stale much faster than other roasters.

  • +1

70% is attention grabbing but just on the cheaper item? no thanks.

      Bordering on spam

  • where is the usual 40% off

    • Haven't seen 40% off all beans before…

  • +5

As a few people have mentioned, despite getting huge numbers of upvotes some of the other roasters that post frequently on OzB offer better beans, IMO wait for LimeBlue, Coffee on Cue and Inglewood on sale.

  • -1

The worst coffee I ever had was from Airjo!

  • Yeah nah, Lime Blue has hooked me now. Also, not really a helpful deal considering the regularity of it being on special.

  • +2

planned to replenish some, but no thanks, perfect time for me to try some other brands

  • I have been looking for a 40% discount for the past few days. I even messaged OP but no response. I went with Lime Blue.
You just lost a new customer…

  • I've been getting into their decaf (that's all I drink these days). Anyone found a better / cheaper decaf delivered?

    • Are you paying $38.50/kg delivered?

  • This code just stopped working just now as I was about to pay

  • +1

Any chance this could be open for one more day :) wanting to get some decaf to try!
