Officeworks haven't dropped their price yet so a price match might suit those looking for further discount. ($227ish)

Might have to ring head office for price beat as it says no stock instore. Online only. But pricebeat doable.

Though I would still prefer the edge 20 fusion even though it's slightly higher priced even when on sale.

    • Officeworks has matched the price so bought it from there to get free freight

Just had a look. Crazy that the old LG V3 can still beat this in benchmarks. This has better battery life tho

    • Mine still going strong, other than the poor batt life.

ive had bad expriences with motorolas and the light glass on the screen

    • +1

Do you mean the screen broke easily?

      Which model?

      • +1

My G8 screen basically crumbled away slowly starting from a corner.

        • good to know. Might avoid

        • How long did this take?

        • Had ours for years.

No problems. We always have a screen protector on them though. (G8 still going strong, even after a dunk in the pool)

My family has had about 8 moto g's in total

          • @wisc: Nice, mine only had its included case on as I got it for $150 new just to last me between my returned defective S20 FE, and whatever I was going to get next. I planned to use it indefinitely but one year in, with one simple drop by my sister (after one chunk of glass already popped out of a corner), the cheap glass was full of spiderweb cracks. Strips of tape over the entire screen extended its life a little. I found the phone sluggish anyway and the camera quality was a letdown. I'm now 7 months into using an S22 and it's in mint condition.

    Weak specs.
An extra $110 for the Edge 30 before, on the other hand

    • better than the g31

      • love my G31. Solid performer, great oled screen and battery life. Camera "functions" in a functional way. I came from a pixel 3xl and the G31 is quite similar.

  • Thanks OP - could be a decent cheap phone for my parents, although slightly bigger screen than they would prefer.

  • still waiting for the edge 30 pro to hit $499 following JB deal few weeks back.

  • Is this better than the Poco M4 Pro 4G?

    • The poco m4 pro screen is better being amoled.

How would this compare with the Samsung A13? Officeworks have the A13 for $247 (https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/samsung-ga…). I can see this spec comparison, https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=11402&idPhone…, it looks like the Motorola has the better processor but the Samsung the better screen. Looking for a phone for my daughter.

  • Better than an Galaxy S10e?

    • No, S22 for $588 would've been a good buy

      • Bought that for the wife to replace the S10e! My son inherited the S10e, so was wondering if this G32 would better for him.

        • +1

It would be noticeably more sluggish.

  • Hey can anyone who owns a moto tell me if it has the call record feature built in (like my old oppo has)? Samsung doesn't allow call recordings in OZ

    • +5

G30 here, call recording is an option though I've never used it, not because no one calls, but mostly because no one calls.

    • legality issues there.

      • Not really. Only in certain states and only in those states if you recording without the consent (knowledge) of the other party. There are perfectly legal ways to do it

        • from memory VIC you can record without consent although in NSW you must request permission.

  • Boost/Telstra wifi-calling supported on this phone?

    • Yes

  • Fairly ordinary

  • This is an excellent mobile specs with dual sim 4g with no NFC but for a little more you can get 5g and NFC

    • +3

All specs sheets indicate this phone has NFC.
