Aussie Steam Deck owner here also. For me, a friend in the US sent me one. I suspect ebay pricing will start falling soon, as they are easily obtainable now over there and in other regions where they are shipping.

Think I got this cheaper on epic a while ago. Still haven't played it, but i should. I always struggle with setting up my character at the start with these kind of games, too many choices lol.

I fell off the game two times, I'd just recommend you kinda have fun with the shit you pick if you're not normally into these games. This game is way better when you don't take it serious and just pick whatever sounds ridiculous since the writing is so good even if you pick the dumb shit

I've played it through with a controller on switch and it worked great.
One of the best games of all time, but the company's investors just kicked out Disco Elysium's creators so I wouldn't exactly recommend giving them money anymore.

Just so people know, the original authors of this game were fired because they didn't want the sequel to have microtransactions and other monetisation.
They're currently suing the publisher.

There's nothing in your link, or indeed any other article I can find, that some of the original senior staff left because of possible microtransactions.
About the best I can do is find a tweet claiming "The money people come from a background which says you gotta grab when you can even when it in fact does not make much economic sense", which, frankly, is a pretty common dispute between creatives and people who pay their bills.
The dispute could be about anything from a disagreement regarding third party merchandising and sale pricing, or perhaps more likely, some disagreement about the proposed film adaptation, or who knows really.
Also, they weren't necessarily fired, phrases like "forced out" or "‘involuntarily’ departed" are the descriptions in articles, which could be nothing more than them getting sidelined on a future project and taking their bat and ball and going home.
If you have the game Control as well, you can buy the bundle that includes this game and Control for ~12.80 or something (you don't get an extra copy of Control, it just completed the bundle, that's what I did as it's cheaper)
