My power bank died recently and was looking new one.
I already purchased one last week and they sent the item with express delivery got delivery in two days for Sydney address.

Very happy with the quality of the item too and highly recommend this. I really like that this power bank can charge low voltage electronics like my apple watch etc. My Romoss power bank was unable to charge apple watch.

I looked around other sites, seems they are above $100 elsewhere and around mid $90s with other ebay seller.

I end of buying two more today. I thought to share with you.

    I'm getting pissed off with powerbanks now. I don't want a huge one. I just want maybe 2,000 mAH for an emergency partial charge. And so it's physically small. And by a decent manufacturer, not a no-name will-probably-explode Chinese one. But no, they keep upping the capacity.

      I love it and my wife takes it in her handbag all the time. Perfect little size and has 20w Quick Charge 3.

      I'll be buying a bunch for family at Christmas as I found them very useful.

      • I'd be interested but some (plausible) negative reviews on that one claiming actual capacity is significantly less than advertised.

        • Interesting, I haven't tested mine to be honest, it's just been so essential for the small size.

          I can try run it through my USB charging tester and see how much passes through. I wouldn't trust the bad reviews with a phone batteries capacity as an indicator given battery charging efficiency varies based on capacity. mAh in a power bank doesn't = mAh deposited into a battery after charging.

          Article here says about two thirds capacity is transferrable

          • @camshandez: If I buy a 5000 mAh charger, I'd expect it to fully charge a phone with 4000 or 4500 battery.

          3.7V * 5000mAh / 5V = 3700mAh

          So a 5000mAh phone won't recharge from 0 to 100%.

    • Almost the same boat as you, if you wanted a larger capacity, I can recommend Anker PowerCore Essential 20000… https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07SQ5MQ6K . I wanted something relatively small and similar in size to my older 10,000 mAH and I first bought for Baseus 20,000maH for $40 but it was massive and chunky. Lots of research later (I wanted 20,000mAH), I settled on this particular Anker and happy with it's size and weight, and much smaller than the Baseus. Bought for $70 but it's gone down to $50+ before.

      Keep in mind that you should take 66% of the advertised capacity instead as an approximate of their 'real' capacity.

      • The capacity on these power banks (except for the super cheap non-name ones), is usually correct, it's just a measure of the cells capacity which is usually a lower voltage than the 5V (or higher) output.

        For example, most of these are made of 3.7V LiPo cells. If you have a 10,000mAh 3.7V LiPo cell, then that needs to be stepped up to 5V (or higher for QC/PD) to charge your devices. Let's take 5V as an example: 3.7 / 5 = 0.74. So the actual amp hour capacity at 5V is 74% that listed on the box, or 7400mAh.

        There isn't any cheating here, it's more the case that mAh is probably no longer the best way to represent the capacity of these battery banks. A more appropriate value would be the actual energy capacity of the cells, measured in Wh. A 10,000 mAh battery bank with 3.7V cells will have a capacity of 37Wh.

      Those 2000mah powerbanks will not exactly have 2000mah of capacity available for you to use — the energy conversion efficiency of most powerbanks are between 80~90%. If you factor in this power conversion loss, your tiny 2000mah powerbank is actually smaller than you think.

    • You can get battery chargers with reverse charging so you can swap out batteries.

      Baseus is actually one of the better brand out there in China. Their quality is higher almost everyone else.

      Been using there products for years… Not that well known here in Australia as, well, they mainly focus on Chinese market

    capacity is a bit small for a 100W powerbank. Like 20,000mah is only about 74wh isn't it?

    • The claimed capacity is 74Wh. The 100W refers to the C1/C2 output.

        yeah i know. What I'm saying is that 74wh at 100w is not going to last long. Mathematically only about 44 minutes of battery life at full draw, probably significantly less.

          Yeah I'd say it's designed to dump its limited charge into the connected device quickly rather than act as a power point replacement.

        Lived in Canada for a few years not long ago, made sure to always keep an active credit card and a bunch of friends who will happily forward me things I ship to them :). Has come in handy. There are mail forwarder businesses there and in the US though of course, the ones in Canada are darn expensive though.

        I'd love to offer advice on how to purchase one without already having a creditcard over there, but I honestly don't know that part.

        The Steam deck so far is fantastic btw. When Valve finally gets around to selling/shipping them here I'd highly recommend getting one.

        thanks mate! there are a whole bunch 5.0v==3.0A 15.0W/9V……(and more) then ends with 20.0V==3.25A 65.0W max.

        Does that mean it could take up to 65W and 15W would also work (but slower)?

        • Really just means your power supply can output that. Laptop could be much more or much less specific.

          Need the laptop model specifically, the power brick could have more wattage than what the laptop sucks in.

          If it uses PD then the laptop will handshake with the power supply to charge at a voltage that's compatible. You can sometimes get away with a weaker charger if it's like 10-20w less, I doubt a 65w rated laptop would even accept charger from a 15w psu though.

          • @krisspy: Some laptops will charge off a standard 5V 2A port (10w).. even whilst the regular power supply is 65w

            It will drain battery slowly whilst in use.. but it will still draw power

  • Need one to charge my samsung tab s8 ultra. Probably with PPS and output 5A. Not sure this one works!

    • Don't see why this wouldn't work… Only does up to 45W of charging so 15V at 3A would do it.

      • I think the S8 one uses 9V/5A for super fast charging, I am not sure if 15V/3A works. Also dont knowif this Baseus support PPS

        • No it wouldn't, don't think I've ever seen a powerbank support 45w pps. Most of my baseus/zmi powerbanks rated for 65w only do 25w on my S8 ultra

              @nitens: Pps is the protocol Samsung uses to negotiate power. Having PPS doesn't guarantee you'll get 45w, unless it's specified by the mfg.

                So Samsung's implementation of 45W is something like 9V@5A or [email protected] to reduce heat when stepping down to the battery voltage inside the device.

                Makes sense, they just need to be more clear about PPS support in their descriptions - although I guess strictly speaking 9V@3A fits within the PPS spec, it's just not the max.

                • @nitens: Yeah it's gets convoluted since some pps chargers would say something like "PPS 3.3v-11v 4amp" but still can't do Samsung's 45w super fast charging 2.0

  • I think the issue with the Romoss chargers and Apple Watch is their auto shutdown activates once the power draw falls below a certain threshold and the power draw for the watch charger is below that threshold.

  • I have had a weird experience with this one. Bought it about 2 weeks ago. If i connect it to my Pixel 6, once it gets down to 26% it suddenly drops down to 5% and then dies (usually under 10 minutes).
    Going to test it with the phone off to notice more patterns.
