This kind of comment gets really tiresome.

All companies can get hacked and a few probably you've used probably have been breached before NDB. Hackers are actually statistically less likely to re-target an organisation they've just breached. They'll have the data of people who shopped there before, not after. What matters is the company's response.

        • It's actually impossible to not read something. Our brains are hard wired to read words from text.

It wasn't tongue in cheek, it was an old overused joke. Don't try and change it now because you're scared of downvotes.

Ironic thing is you're giving more details to Google by using this than you would a potential hacker lol.

    I just paid $35 for one :)

    • how ? when?

    • share?

    • Where

    • +3

Most likely bought off someone who got this as a freebie from the Pixel 7 / Pro purchase

    • Noogle Nest Hub

  • Will OW price beat the $75?

    • It should but not the 65

    • +1

OW may not reject price beat from mydeal. Some products are gray import.

      But can have a try.

$65 is already a decent price.

      • +1

        may not reject?

  • I have used this code three times already, it still works.

Tempted..does this and Ring camera get along?

    • no, Amazon owns Ring so will want you to get an Echo Show device

else, go the Google Nest Doorbell Camera if you want it to work with this Hub

      • So, you mean they don't communicate well ? Like nest will not get connected to ring doorbell for audio visual?

        • +1

Nope, Amazon and Google are direct competitors in this space and want you to buy the relevant product from their own ecosystem

This is what you want instead: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08KGVRMRG/ - there may be deals around Black Friday

in my experience, none of the wifi cameras seem to play well with nest hubs. my nest hub max doesnt like Wyze or Eufy cams; loading of video feed is god awful slow, like 1 minute plus. faster to walk out the front of my house and poke my head out to see whats going on. YMMV on other brands of camera.

Plays well with Google Nest products. They are quite sluggish still on wifi - but if you hardwire the cameras they work very well.

      • Lenovo cameras work 'fine' - only takes about 15 seconds to load.

      • Google Nest battery doorbell works perfectly with nest hub max

  • I feel slightly dirty paying $65 after getting so many of these free as part of Nest or Pixel launch promos haha. But i did it anyway!

    • I think you might be the first person who has paid for one of these

  • Thanks Op this will replace the Google Alarm thingy we have that's LCD screen is starting to die.

  • What’s the sound like on this? Good as an Amazon echo (not dot).

  • +2

Sweet, I will now have two women talking at me in the bedroom.

    • +4

only one will watch you while you sleep

    • which do you prefer, Alexa or Googlygirl?

      • Alexa gets on my nerves some times . Have to say (or even yell sometimes) to get her attention….on the other hand Google starts talking even if I am not talking to her….🙂, I am not kidding…

FYI - Code “FRENZY” works too and stack with 20% cashback via CR ($40 cap per member)

    • +1

Thanks.. Tracked immediately. I think we can combine this deal and %20 off ($10) as well. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/735215

    • +1

and combined with mydeal openpay deal to get another $10 off - $55 total before CR 20% ($11.82)

  • Anyone use this as a picture frame?

    • +1

I've been using it to show google photo album, love it!

I set the album to automatically add photos based on the face of the family.

      • +1

I do the same. Its nice as your phone auto uploads and somehow google only displays the good photos.

  • Audio quality??

    • Not too bad, a big step over the gen 1.

      • Went with a Nest Audio instead…

  • OOS again

  • Bought the Charcoal one with openpay for $55 (75-10-10). CR cashback tracked $4.73. Net cost 50.27 delivered. Hope this is good.

    • Don't wanna sign up for another credit provider

      • Me too. I also do not want a credit check at the moment. But openpay says it only does a credit check depending on the amount and will take your concent first. For $55 dollars they did not do a cehck. Same as afterpay.

        • But then openpay will pop up in your bank account when you pay.

          • @Mortin: That is no at all a problem. I take advantage of BNPL offers to save money, this does not mean that I rely on credit to pay for small things. This can be demonstrated by latge savings in bank accounts.
