This deal was posted 4 minutes ago and still no hose gags?

      I know. It's a bit disappointing, really :)

Can the auto fill pet bowl be gravity fed from a tank?

    • I don't think this should be an issue. The bowl works well when fed from a PET bottle, which is gravity fed.

Pretty good deal. These hoses are good value for money

Can you put company in title please? All vital info should be in the title in my opinion :)

    • Thank you for the reminder!

Probably a silly question but are your products available through any distributers such as Bunnings etc? I'm a bit far away from your Brookvale location but would like to check things out in the flesh, particularly the premium hose.

PS: That's the best looking flow meter gauge I've ever seen and only $11, impressive. I think I'll have to buy 2 of those.

We only sell direct to consumer and most of the products we carry are only available from us. Buying direct means high quality products at great prices.

The great thing about buying direct is that we have a record of your transaction, so if you ever have any problems, we don't ask you to provide a receipt. We can find your order history in seconds and send out replacements/refund same day if if required.

Unfortunately, we only have the one location, but it is a good one! If you are ever out this way, pop in and we would be happy to provide live demonstrations for any of our products.

Thanks for the quick response. Being an avid gardener myself I think I'll find some time to come down for a visit as there are a few things of interest. I especially want some hose fittings, I've bought countless hose fittings over the years and they all end up the same way even the very expensive metal ones.

        • We look forward to seeing you!

We should have a number of new products added to our range by early September, so if you can pop by around then we should have a few exciting things to show off.

I'd be interested in a hose if you also put the connections to the tap and the spray gun on sale as well!

    • We typically don't put the Hoselink connections on sale as they tend to fly off the shelves as is.

Stock on these is typically pretty tight.

If we do have a sale on Hoselink Connections, I promise we will post it on OzBargain.

      • If such a sale happens, can you give us OzBargainers a heads up 24hrs before the sale starts coz I have a feeling we'll easily take care of the tight stocks. We love a sale here :)

BTW gave this deal a +1, forgot to do so earlier.

We posted this sale on OzBargain before we sent out an email blast - because we love you guys!

        • That's the spirit! :)

Hi OP. I'm a grim reaper that specifically deals with midgets and children. Would you Scythe match my attire and would there be a guarantee on quality as it'd be my primary piece of equipment at work? Also I'm especially busy this time of year so what is shipping times like?

    • would there be a guarantee on quality as it'd be my primary piece of equipment at work?

I can't comment on the hoses as we haven't used them, but we have been using the fittings for probably close to 15 years ( since the days when they WERE available in shops,) and have never had a scrap of trouble with them

      • Lol, perhaps read the whole message again!

        • I read it, I just didn't get it. lol

    • A little black electricians tape would help bring the handle color in line with your outfit. In addition, it would make it much easier to hold onto.

We typically state 5 business days for arrivals anywhere in Australia, but as we ship within 24 hours, most people have their product within three. Surely you would have your own means to just pop down here and pick one up in person. Thankfully, I am neither a child nor a midget.

Seriously, this one of the most underrated products we have - it is great for any gardener that needs to cut out roots and weeds quickly. I would imagine that it's great for grim reapers as well.

  • I'm in the market for a new hose, but due to my lack of decision making ability, which one would you recommend?

    • I have two premiumflex hoses and they are the best
      hoses I have ever owned.
I wish they had been on sale when I paid full price
but they are still worth every penny.

    • I had written up a big post about the differences between the two, but it seems to have disappeared!

If you're looking for a versatile hose, very similar to our TekPro hose (only marginally thinner), I would go with the TekFlex.

If durability, heavy-duty and long lasting with premium kink resistance is what your looking for, the bomb-proof Premium Flex is the way to go.

The Premium Flex is quite a bit thicker, which makes it lot heavier, a bit harder to work with and harder to attach fittings to. That said, if you can spend the extra, I would likely go for this one as it will likely outlast any other hose you've had.

Whatever hose you choose, be sure to read the guide to using your new hose that comes included. By using these tips, you can minimize kinks and unwanted coiling.

  • I rather like the look of your blaster. Is the green colour compatible with your earlier blue fittings (sizewise) please?

    • I rather like the look of your blaster.

      That's what she said.

      • Cough!! Splutter!

        • Cough!! Splutter!

I believe that's also what she said! :p

    • Absolutely. Although the color has changed the size of the fittings remain the same.

Love the old blue and red colored fittings, but I think the new ones are even more durable that those!

Just out of curiosity, how long have you had your Hoselink fittings?

The blaster has the best pressure and flow rate of any handheld sprayer we have tested. Better than the jet function on our multi-function spray gun which is good in its own right. We use it to clean cobwebs off the windows on the second story of our office and it works like a charm. It's also bomb-proof and should last you a very long time.

  • At least in the table provided you seem to have used the previous prices and not just RRP's which are probably what shows up on the actual product page.

    Great fittings btw :)

  • hmmm dunno…shipping to perth is $21.22 for 30m hose, pair of gloves and scythe

    • +1

hose ain't light, and Aus Post / couriers charge. I don't see the postage charge as unreasonable - I think we're just used to the multinationals (Staples, Dell, JBHiFi etc keeping their postage delivery charges (perhaps artificially) low.

      • +2

        hose ain't light

        Yep, especially good hose!

On a side note, I'd be worried if I was one of jhova's neighbours…

30m hose, pair of gloves and scythe

…those sound like the tookit for a serial killer!!! :o

    • It's definitely the hose that drives up the postage, but if you send me a PM with your phone number I might be able to work something out for you.

  • +1

I see the ads on tv all the time and have always been interested in Hoselink products, but the postage kills it for me.

I can understand you guys not wanting to go through Bunnings and the like (with all their cheap crap quality products), but even if you had a few direct distributors in different states (one in Canberra would be nice *hint hint), it would make buying your products so much easier and cheaper.

Plus, I used to live in Sydney… and Brookvale is a pain in the bum to get to if you live in Western Sydney.

Anyway, thats my 2c. Big fan of your product, just wish I could see it in person and then hand over cash.
I wonder even if you had a travelling road show every few months in different cities whether you'd get people flocking to your product even more?

    • Postage to Canberra from Brookvale shouldn't be too bad, especially with one of the courier services we use. I have sent you a PM and would be happy to work something out for you.

  • I bought the Ned Kelly kit a while ago…the spray gun is fantastic, but the fittings didn't fit my cheap bunnings hose I already had! D'oh! Perfect opportunity to upgrade my hose now! Do the fittings supplied with the Ned Kelly kit fit a specific hose, or will they fit any Hoselink hose?
    Cheers

    • I've never encountered a standard garden hose that couldn't be fit with our connections.

Our fittings should fit any standard garden hose (12mm internal diameter) , but in the case of very thin hoses, you may need to trim a small piece of the white split ring so that it can close down around the hose. No special hose necessary, but if you're looking for an awesome hose, now's a great time to pick one up.

As a reminder to anyone who might be reading - it is imperative that you put the end of the hose with the split ring on the end in boiling water before pressing it into the fitting. If it appears that the white split ring is not flush at the bottom of the fitting with the hose, you may push the white split ring down with a flat head screw driver.

      I hope that helps :)

  • Just out of curiosity, how long have you had your Hoselink fittings?

Probably around 15 years, and still going strong.

  • Just wanted to come in to say that I got my order all ready (only ordered yesterday and I am in Tasmania)
Put the Ned Kelly fitting on at lunch and seems to work really well…
The swivel connection is especially great.

    • Yes the swivel connection makes it a lot more comfortable to use.

    • We're serious about fast shipping times, so I'm glad to hear that it resulted in you receiving your goods so quickly.

We have sold out of the swivel connectors for now and expect them to be back in Mid-July. they aren't mission-critical, but nice to have. We've been surprised by their popularity and haven't been able to keep them in stock.

  • Got my second order from this last week. The " super jet washer " was used today for first time… Handy lil tool, cleaned the boat well… And the windows… My trigger gun arrived broken in that order. A phone call to them, and new item received in 2 days :) 3rd order placed today… Set my self up on two hoses.. Get the 360 swivel adaptor, very handy and worth $6.

    • Hey wiz,

Glad to hear your enjoying the product and sorry for the item that broke in transit. If there's ever anything else you need please don't hesitate to be in touch.

Also, stay tuned, we have some exciting news and products to come towards the end of the month.

      Cheers!
