40% off SNOO Smart Baby Sleeper US$837 (~A$1253.95) Shipped @ Happiest Baby

200
EARLYBF

I previously posted the 30% off deal which was the previous best offer but they have now outdone themselves.

Many reviews and testimonials around. Some babies love them, some not so much. Mine is somewhere in the middle.

Cue discussion surrounding parenting techniques, modern parenting etc etc

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2022

Ours is 7 months at present & going through separation anxiety. Sleeping used to be 4-6hr blocks, now 2hr is "long". If this thing can cure that, I'll buy one!

    • +1

Only for use up to 6mo.

      • Hmm well we do have another one en route, due in June so this might be worthwhile…is there a decent second hand market for them?

        • +2

There is an excellent 2nd hand market for them but this deal sort of throws that market into a bit of disarray.

We have a 10 week old and he sleeps 8-9 hours uninterrupted overnight in the snoo. In fact we have to wake him to feed otherwise who knows how much longer he’d sleep.

We had so many sleep issues with our first child (which I posted about here) so the snoo is a god send to us.

    • You're only feeding your 10 week old every 8-9 hours?

      • +1

Only for that overnight period otherwise every 3-4 hours.

      • If they're getting enough throughout the day you can generally let them sleep as long as they want once they're closer to 3 months. They'll wake up if they're hungry.

    • You're really selling me on this…we'll have 2 under 2 so anything to free up some time to manage the older one would be a god send.

  • Have a 4 month old and been using the snoo since 3 weeks old,

Don't have a unicorn baby but the snoo gave us many more hours of sleep when it would settle baby back to sleep.

    Worth it for our sanity

Purchased thanks OP. Note that individual sleep sacks get the 40% off but the bundle doesn’t. So bought sleep sacks individually and will buy extra fitted sheets elsewhere as reviews aren’t great.

    • Are the sleep sacks really required if we already have some?

What do you plan to do with it after your bub grows out of it?

      • +1

The sleep sacks have wings which are needed to be clipped in or it won't run.

Lot of users also double wrap

You can sell with the snoo

    • @Jdiggitywap, the bundle is US$23.30 per unit. The solo is US$23.10 per unit.

My basket doesn't use the BF code, so I'm not sure about your comment.

    • Hey jdiggitywap - has yours been dispatched and/or delivered yet? I'm a few days behind you, but keen to know what the real world timelines are. Thanks in advance!!

      • Nothing from my side yet, it's been 3 days, I just wrote to them.

        • Yeah, I ordered morning of 20/11/2022 … email says "Your order is scheduled to ship on 22/11/2022. Products ship within 2 business days of the date you pick. Allow an added 5 business days for your order to arrive."

Not received any updates yet, but hopefully based on the above it will be dispatched today.

          • @gtrain: It should have been sent out yesterday. Fingers crossed yours moves out today. Keep us posted.

            • @lordra: Mine still hasn't been dispatched according to order tracking.

              • @gtrain: Same. Jokers. I'll chase up with them tomorrow cob.

                • @lordra: Arrived today for me. I chased multiple times asking where it was.

      • Hey @gtrain my Snoo has not arrived yet. I also placed a seperate order at the same time for the leg lifters that arrived about 3 days ago. Guessing the Snoo takes longer given it’s a larger package.

        • Yeah, mine is still not dispatched according to their website. 🤷

          • @gtrain: @gtrain the Snoo arrived today :)

            • @Jdiggitywap: Mine too. Baby is asleep and not on top of somebody!! 🤸‍♂️

              • @gtrain: I'm excited to know how well bubba slept on the first night!
                And how well YOU slept!

                • +1

@lordra: Went from waking pretty much every hour overnight to three chunky sleeps 2130-0230, 0315-0415, 0440-0715. App is great to see how well the sleeping went.
Also love that it tries to get the baby back to sleep for a couple of minutes but if it isn't working it stops and sends you an alert saying your baby needs care.
We were standing at the door discussing how long we let her cry while trying to allow Snoo to do its thing and then it said she needs you, which was great to see that it won't just keep rocking and swishing away, it recognises its own limitations.
I hope you have as enjoyable an experience as we had on your first night!

                  • @gtrain: Wow that’s a great result @gtrain ! Our Bub has not liked the Snoo at all so far. We have been trying throughout the day, put him in nice and settled but the motion consistently upsets him. Will keep trying over the coming days and hopefully he gets used to it.

                    • @Jdiggitywap: We tried the first day and bub wasn't happy with it also, overnight it seemed to kick in so I hope the same happens for you!!

                    • @Jdiggitywap: How's bub taken to it now?

                      • @lordra: Bub got used to it :) Up to 4 hours sleep for our 6 week old which is good compared to his history. But he just had his injections and super-broken sleep / lots of red on the tracker which hopefully passes soon.

How are you both going with your units @lordra and @gtrain ?

                        • +1

@Jdiggitywap: @Jdiggitywap really well! Ours is 6 weeks old too, yaayy! I haven't seen a 4 hour sleep yet, max was 3 hours. Bub really likes it, it works well. I have a fan trained on the snoo, for some air flow. The mesh really helps. Parents and bub are definitely sleeping better at night.

Injections are happening later this week, so will steel ourselves for what is to come. Bub fell been ill 2 weeks ago, so sleep has lots of red for us too. Took some convincing when the OH saw it. HAHAHA! It was a secret impulse purchase, I got into so much trouble lol.

I love the app control and notifications. The rocking really helps.

                          • +1

@lordra: @lordra it’s soo hard to see them sick, I hope your little one is making a speedy recovery! Yes I can relate to your point re. impulse purchase. When I initially discussed the idea w/ my wife we both agreed we didn’t need it. But we changed our minds at 3am one night and pulled the trigger with the 30 day guarantee. The 2nd hand market looks pretty robust & we kept the box etc. so hopefully we don’t lose too much after we sell it. Or maybe even rent it out - could be our first side-hustle haha.

                        • +2

@Jdiggitywap: Ours got sick too and has regressed a bit, but it is still waaaaay better than it was.
Our issue seems to be that she sleeps well in it, but when she wakes up, she is awake, the SNOO does not really ever get her back to sleep unfortunately.
Glad to hear you are both getting at least SOME more sleep - even if not as much as we'd all like!!

                  • @gtrain: Good to know mate. I type this out as I rock him to sleep.
I can't wait for the machine to do it instead!
I'm looking forward to the white noise as well.

  • Just get the mummaroo one which is usually $600 or less

    • Does that product have the exact same results as this? Customer support?
      2nd hand value?

      • Overall no
The biggest difference is that snoo responds to the baby crying by increasing volume and movement effectively trying to settle them.

      • We looked at both to be honest and settled on the mummaroo

Our 3 month old has slept in it without issues at all.

I can't justify $2k for a slightly better version of the same thing

Mummaroo has an app, can do multiple rocks of the baby, has built in white noise / shush sounds etc

        • Good to know, thank you. I'm willing to try their 30 days guarantee, so nothing to lose here. 🤗
Of course they'll put up a vicious argument, but if that happens, back to the 2nd hand market.

  • Would be good if we could get a deal on gift cards and use that to stack on top of this!

  • +1

Thanks OP, bought the last time you posted (30% off), as it hadn't shipped yet they price matched this new coupon and refunded the difference.

    • Any regrets mate?
What do you intend on doing with it AFTER baby grows out of it?

  • OP, does this look right to you?
The prices do make sense, I just want to check with you.

    • Looks right but don't forget that the snoo comes with some sacks already so only need to buy if you need spares

      • TY mate. It's also in USD, I don't see an option to change it anywhere.

What's the best way to pay for this? CCard? Or Paypal?
And if Paypal, do I change to AUD or leave it in USD?

        • They only charge in USD unfortunately.

PayPal with an international friendly credit card is probably best. Depends on your situation.

          • @fatgypo: I have an ING - so no fees.
But my CCard has price protection and other benefits, so I'll just suck up the fees and pay on that.

I can't recall whether the best thing to do was to use AUD or USD.

  • Loved our Snoo, transitioned ours out a few weeks before 6 month but was worth it and resale value is high!

    • Where did you end up selling it on?

      • Facebook marketplace or join the Snoo fb groups

        • Good to know, thanks.
