I've got this unit, it's good, perhaps the best purifier I've had/got of many, but it's not worth the rrp, not even close. $600 at best.

Why do you need so many purifiers?

What is wrong with unpurified air?

Just seems such an impact on the environment to design (staff, and buildings, and commuting to work), manufacture, ship, plug in …

      • We've got severe allergies also it's a fact that breathing in more particles (especially PM2.5's and smaller) than necessary negatively impacts your health.

Formaldehyde isn't great either and Dyson apparently are the only company that make a product that removes it.

You'd be surprised just how many toxins you can avoid by simply monitoring for particulates and chemicals in the air changes your lifestyle for the better. For instance, since monitoring we've cooked many foods outside to avoid VOC's that were being created, I was shocked to see just how polluting some cooking processes were for indoor air.

We keep ourselves out of the health system by doing things like purifying our air, you're welcome tax payer.

What bubble are you in? I can assure you that me and my kind are out of the health system too.

            @grasstown: I'm a bubble boy, Jerry.

  • I have the TP04 cooling and purifying. It's ok. Can get crazy sometimes and won't stop purifying, like it's always finding something, I recommend not to use it on auto mode. I use it in my bedroom, small room maybe 20m2, when it's on auto at night while sleeping it behaves as the air in the room is polluted and needs constant cleaning, starts 15 minutes when i close the bedroom doors.

Another thing that interests me about these purifiers is their area of effect, as they don't really have much of suction power so it's maybe max 30cm radius, distance, around the grill bottom part?

I refuse to buy these until they reach a reasonable price of $10,000 per unit!

    • I too like round figures

  • TP00 is the worst Dyson fan… noisy noisy and noisy!!!

Can't say I have detected much formaldehyde in my home, which is fortunate, because formaldehyde causes cancer.

Formaldehyde is a major component of "new car smell", but this isn't an automotive unit.

    • was about to ask who is having issues of formaldehyde in their house lol…

      • Every new material leeches formaldehyde, so new homes filled with new furniture pollute air with it.

  • Wtf has this gone UP in price? Or am I just seeing things

I have this purifier, it’s much weaker than the Phillips 4500 and 3000 series purifiers which I also have. (My entire family is genetically predisposed to be allergic to a bunch of stuff in air, so runny noses, blocked noses, difficulty breathing even when we’re not sick)
But the hot+cool function is nice.
If you have no idea why you’d need one, then you probably don’t.
People with allergies to dust mites, fungal spores, pollen, or just get irritated noses to pollution get these. It serves as a nice 2-in-1 if you’re space constrained. If you don’t really have allergies but prefer cleaner air during bushfire season, I’d recommend the Xiaomi one as it’s much more affordable and works. Also highly recommend getting an air purifier when moving into a new home

  • I'm interested in buying the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Formaldehyde Purifying Fan Heater HP09, but don't need the other fan. I'd be happy to sell it for $400, which is $199 below the RRP, or $100 below their Black Friday sale price. DM me if you're interested and can pickup from the Chatswood area, NSW.

    • Keen. I’ve sent you a DM.

  • My offer is still available if anyone is interested.
