    Jack the nimble:
    Normal day: $200
    eBay 22% sale day: $256.50 $200

  • +2

I don’t think anyone’s gonna care but I will say I’ve basically stopped shopping on eBay as every time I had these 20% off sales everyone just put their prices up 20% to what’s normal which literally made me stop shopping there altogether go Jeff Bezos, sorry not sorry

    • +2

EBay puts in 6-8% according to this. If you see evidence of any store marking up the full 20-22% like you said, basically having their cake and it eat too, do call it out so people can boycott them.

    • +3

Even Coles and Woolworths are doing a similar thing now.
Nescafe coffee at woolworths for $14, but has a big "was $22"
and Coles has Robert Timms coffee for $10, "was $20"

They both put up the price, nobody bought it, price went down, and now these coffees are constantly on sale, only it's a fake sale

    Amazon, your turn

    • -1

Yep still waiting for Amazon, why are they so slow this year.. thought they would have put up something good by now

  • +1

    Jack lives here.

  • Anyone remember what was the % of discounts on black Friday last year?

  • Hoping for a deal on a lifepo4 battery. Cant figure out what stores are in tho

  • +1

Code not working? Or is the item not working

  • +7

    Sale is a dud

  • Urgh, accidentally used my $80 coupon from eBay plus instead of the 50 off one when this one didn't work.

Didn't realize it would show up right at midnight…..

Knowing eBay it would be a huge hassle to resolve, and I'd almost certainly lose the coupon.

    • +1

weird, I've always got my coupon back when an order was cancelled.
As long as its within its expiry date.

      • I've heard otherwise. I'm just going to chalk it up to a learning experience, enjoy my GPU when it arrives and not risk $80 vanishing into the ether.

        • Yeah thats understandable.
Hope that at least the gpu is enjoyable :)

  • terrible, nothing i want is eligible. and the ipad i wanted has been priced jacked so its not even a deal anymore.

  • +2

BLKFRI22 doesnt work but BLKFRI20 does?

    • BLKFRI22 is ebay plus one.

      • +2

        i have ebay plus

        • hmm weird, it works on some but not on all.
          I just checked a few items from a seller…
          odd

    • Should be FRIBLK22 not BLKFRI22 (even though that's what it says in the ts&cs)

  • +7

Noticed eTrade is one of the sellers.
Please be warned, I bought a 512gb micro sd card off them not that long ago, and they blocked me as soon as I messaged them that I had realized it was fake.
The speeds were abysmal and it couldn't hold more than 50-60gb worth of stuff.

Took 24 hours to transfer over 50gb worth.

They also had ebay remove my negative feedback, even though it was legitimate.

I'm sure some, hell even most, of their products are legit, but I had a TERRIBLE first (and only) experience with them.

  • I learnt to be patient from last deal, so eBay is now adding to the eligible list fingers crossed!

  • Ebay site is showing a different set of codes FRIBLK22 & FRIBLK20. It appears a lot of items shown under the eligible items listing aren't part of the deal.

  • +2

I think Code has changed to friblk20/friblk22

  • +1

Jack is back and he brought his friend Jack… so we have 2 x Jacks.

  • +2

Looked at some stuff saved - it's all gone up to more expensive than it was past couple of weeks. No surprises there.

  • +1

Both The good guys & Dyson it's not on the list, the deal worst than Zip one with 15% extra off.
    Sad day:(

  • Not many related deals huh 😒

    • Yeah seems to be low participation

  • 22% code not working for me :(

  • +1

Could not agree with you more. Up 22% than off 22%.

  • Well… found something decent.

    If anyone is looking for a 4-Bay NAS, here's a QNAP NAS TS-464-4G for $698.10 (22% off).

  • Some items ten minutes ago only work on FRIBLK20, now FRIBLK22 is working. May have to wait sometime for eBay to add FRIBLK22

  • +5

Everything I was keeping an eye on went up. Whilst I'm sure there are some deals/good buys out there, I have to call out BS ebay sales like these.

  • Doesn't stack with $80 voucher, seems pretty slack on eBay's part.

    • +1

The $80 voucher explicitly states it won't work with other codes, and this has been the case for years with eBay codes.

  • +1

Ebay plus is a joke. No wonder it was $5 with a $20 voucher.

  • Anyone else got the BFX30 code? 30% off up to $300.

  • +1

anything insterested in simply went up 22%

    • nope

  • +2

This is a joke 2 weeks ago laptop was $3100 now it's $3549.

      I've given up looking

      • -2

When even us OzBargainers give up, you know that the so-called "Sale" is bogus…

      • Someone must have been paying attention, just logged in to my account and was offered $50 code on an item I've looked at! Unbelievable!!!

    • +1

You are venting in the wrong OP. This store is not participating in this promo 😜

  • Some items do get some good discount even after jacking.
For example the Asus RT-AX86U router (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/354225273089?epid=3053782669) is $406.06 after 22% discount when other sellers are selling for $469

I picked up 300 Finish Powerball Quantum Ultimate Dishwashing Tablets for $85.79 which seemed like a pretty good deal to me (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/265951160487)

Just bought AMD Ryzen 7950x for $876.72, that's what i was waiting for!!! So happy!
I don't think it can get any lower, at least for the real deal with sufficient stock.

To score this deal I had to get ebay plus which is $4.99 for the 1st year right now.

  • Where did this $80 voucher come from that I keep seeing mentioned? I can't see any past deals. Can someone link to the relevant deal please. :)

  • Both Shopping Express and Futu have increased their DS920+ price during the sale :-(

  • Prices have been jacked but still some great deals available.

Like this the tp link 24 port poe switch that comes down to 386 after discount. Its easily the best price on the market.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/353205518380?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…

  • Bought polk audio rc80i ceiling speaker pair for 303 AUD. I think thats a really good price for these.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/144643062567?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…

  • Bought 2x $85 Motul 7100 oil for the bikes .
Spare set $85 Koyo front bearings set for cruiser .

German made Metabo impact was probably the best deal $65 off from essentialpowertools ,

and they have lots of Makita , Milwalkee , Dewalt , HTP , AEG gear as well ,
That's not been jacked up .

Anyway to get eBay gift cards to stack with 22% discount? Where is a plenty of offers on a gift cards at the moment, just not sure which one will do the job.
    Cheers

    • There's only one voucher code allowed, but gift cards are not considered vouchers, so should work. It was working for me to pay with gift card last night.

      • Thank you, but where about I can buy discounted cards? =)

        • Ok, found 3% in Bupa rewards and 4% in Smart Spending =). Any other known place with a higher percent?

  • +2

I see my name has been mentioned quite a bit.
    Well, okay. :-)

  • For those QFF members, if you click through via Qantas Shopping site to the eBay sale you can also earn 2 points for every $1. Some exclusions apply

  • So, reading many of the comments on the Black Friday sales threads, a lot of the fuss over Black Friday sales are basically hot air

  • If I cancel my ebay plus subsciption does it cancel now or at the end of my 12 months I paid for?
    Coz i'm not feeling it.

    • +2

"at the end of my 12 months I paid for"

  • +1

I paid $109.99 when I bought this for the first time. I thought the sound quality was very good. Now I saw a link with a more favorable price. I bought the second one for only $81. There is now a 22% discount in this link.https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/203685290725

  • I bought quite a bit of stuff , no doubt it took a while to find decent stuff that wasn't marked up , but there's proper high-end brand name tools ,
    car parts&spares , and tentworld .
Lotsa stuff gone out of stock now but still a few bargains there.
Like the burly lumbar chairs , good for the under 100kg class at about $60.
I think I got a Mulga or something that's twice the price, but bigger , comfyr and sturdyr than standard .

  • Not worth it, all items are raised and then discounted to normal everyday prices. Jackasses

  • Was looking at a viofo dash cam but even with this deal + $80 credit from the sign up promo Amazon still sells it cheaper.

    Absolute fkn joke ebay
