[Switch] Snake Pass - $3.90 @ Nintendo eShop

530

One of (imo) the most unique and enjoyable games of the Switch's launch period is at it's all time low.

This game starts off incredibly fun and relaxing, but increases in difficulty quite a bit in later stages. Never did get past the introduction of lava, but still have fond memories overall

  • Great game, while the levels get trickier the more you play the better you get with the controls it levels things out.

    Also music by David Wise.

  • Nice. Love a cheap game

I'm thinking of buying a switch, and want to buy this game to start building a collection, but am getting the following error:

"Error Code: 9001-0026. In order to continue, please access Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo Switch console linked to this Nintendo Account."

How can I buy the game without having a console?

      Short answer: you can't

      Longer answer:
Use a friend/family member/neighbour/ozbargainer/distant acquaintance/co-worker/EB Games regular/etc. who owns a Switch and set up an account on their system to then transfer over to your console when you get it.

Alternatively, make a list of games that interest you, utilise the website DekuDeals, take notes on ATL prices and sale end dates and be patient.

      • OK thanks.

  • This game is a little janky, but I did enjoy playing with a snake.

    • I always enjoy playing with my snake.

I was petting my snake last night, first slow then fast

  • I built a GT1030 based HP office gaming rig for this game in particular. Really enjoyed it and have decided to double dip on it!

Me: "I should stop buying new games, I have enough on my backlog"
    Also me: purchases this immediately

    Thanks OP 👍

  • Nice. Thanks. Bought for my kid.

Discovered I had gold coins expiring at the end of the month, so ended up only costing $2

  • Everyone's different but I dropped this game fairly early. Controls just never felt right for me.

    • +1

Did you try with a full sized controller? Having played it on console, I can imagine that joycons are not optimal

      • Yeah I played with the pro controller. Might give it another go one day but backlog is huge anyway…

    • +1

Yeah it took me quite a while to have a decent understanding of the controls, but once I'd put in the time I found it quite sublime, great platformer

  • Worth the price. Get it.

  • Perfect timing, had some gold coins expiring end of the month. Got it for zero dollars, kids are loving it.

  • Can't recommend this highly enough.

Well, I can put it in the same sentence as Slay The Spire, both are outstanding in their genres.

Not for everyone but if you:
    - have time to learn the controls
    - appreciate innovative gameplay
    - aren't bothered by the last world having two levels instead of three like the rest
    Then this is for you
