Reccomend a Robot Vaccum - Viomio S9 UV, Uoni V980 Plus, Roborock S5 Max

Hi All,

Looking to take advantage of some Black Friday Sales.

Looks like I have narrowed it down to these three robot vaccums and was looking for some advice

Viomi S9 UV
Uoni V980 Plus
Roborock S5 Max

It's for primary hard floor, 4BR house 200sqm ish. 1 bedroom is carpet and rest are timber floor. Single story

If these were all the same price (around $550ish) which would you reccomend as the top pick? Or any other suggestion in that price bracket? We have a small lab/spaniel and then is just me and my partner (no kids)

It looks like the Viomi and Uoni have auto empty stations. The mopping functionality we would use sparingly and unsure wether it would get dog paw prints from timber floor (not muddy etc, just a print)

All have LIDAR? Ability to tell it to go clean x room would be nice to have also

Thanks for your time and any suggestions are welcome to help me get the right unit for our home

Cheers

  • Do you have a lot of furniture (shelves, cabinets etc) that the robot would not be able to vac under? If you're a minimalist, then 200sqm floor space might be too much to vac in one go, so you should get one with an auto empty station like the Viomi. If you have a normal amount of furniture, the S5 Max performs well.

  • Mopping is bad on all of them to be honest. They all will yield similar results so I would get the auto empty ones.

  • Thanks everyone

Yeah pretty normal amount of furniture. Bed in the bedrooms and thats it.

Lounge, dining table, coffee table and a buffet and thats pretty much all furniture. The robot will be to tall to go under the lounge though.

I will look at either the Viomi or Uoni then.

    Thank you so much

  • Hi mate,

I am in the same boat as you, so thanks for the post. I was thinking of going the S7, is there any reason you've opted to go the s5 instead? Cheers

  • Hey mate

Just price to be honest. Didnt really want to spend more than $550 max. Provably going to pull the trigger on the Viomi S9 UV on ebay

    Cheers

  • I am in the market for a Robot Vacuum. Was using cordless Dyson which was expensive and recently got a corded Target/Kmart Vacuum which works pretty well and 1/6 of the price so wondering is there a Robot Vacuum & mopping in cheaper price but does the job. In the past used corded other branded vacuum cleaners which were much powerful to clean except the cables but ones/twice a week cleaning really didn't bother me hence want to try a cheaper ones first before jumping onto spending more.

Costco: eufy RoboVac 25C Robotic Vacuum for $329
Myer: Robotic Vacuum and Mop with App Control for $239

    Thanks as always

    • The cheapest, decent robovac starts at $500.

  • If you haven't got your heart set on an auto empty bin then I'd throw the Dreame L10 Pro in the mix. It's around the $550 budget. I've got one and it's been great coming from a Gen 1 Xiaomi.

  • s5max 2.5 years ago still going well. got it for $450 back then

  • Does anyone by chance have s tennis for the uoni v980 plus they're not using? I have a machine and no remote and i need to press a button on the remote with the 2 buttons on the machine to reset it!!!

    Thank you

  • Remote!!! That should read remote@@@
