Hi, I am travelling overseas (with Japan airlines) and have a stopover of 5hours in Singapore. Just wondering if there is any recommendations of obtaining lounge passes for free? I have seen some credit card deals with lounge passes but with requirements.

The bus tour and boat ride was.
Our connecting flight is at 2.20am :( Good suggestion, will look into the boat ride

Free lounge access comes with business class tickets.
Go out of the airport, get some dinner and a bit of a walk.
How to know which lounge pass required if you do not say which airline you're flying on?

just go see the new jewel at the airport.. that'll take up your 5 hours
It is actually outside the airport so do allow for border crossing times.
It is a waterfall with pumps. Just another poshed-up mall.Still better than spending 5 hours in a windowless room sitting in stained sofas and eating unappetising snacks.
Get any credit card with Priority Pass (St George/BankSA Amplify Signature, Westpac Altitude Black, Citi Premier, Amex Plat) and you can access SATS lounges. I brought 2 friends to the lounge in August and they loved it.

Singapore is one of the easier airports to kill time and realistically you can access anything a lounge provides.
If you really want a lounge;
Plaza Premium does 3 hrs for S$38 5 hs for S$58 in T1
Ambassador Lounge in T2/3 is S$58 for 5 hrs
Changi Lounge at the Jewel has 3 hr access at differing levels;Lite Package:

We just came back from our trip and luckily got approved for the Citibank prestige credit card, so was able to use the lounge pass that came with it. Lounge passes are so worth it for the long stopover as we were able to use the shower facilities as well!
Why not take the bus tour and boat ride?
