Was digging around with all the Breville mid-range coffee machines and comparing some options and came across this deal from Amazon for the Breville Barista Express Impress - basically the newer model of the Express.

Breville the Barista Express Impress Brushed Stainless Steel (BES876BSS4IAN1) - $736 @ Amazon

Also don't forget to redeem Starter Pack(promotions.breville.com.au) (ends Dec 22) via registration, which includes:
* 2 x 250g P&R Porter St Coffee Beans
* Live Roaster Online Demonstration

Closest prices I've seen elsewhere ~$799 at David Jones & ~$839 at Bing Lee. So great deal I think.

I thought that this was a great video comparing the Express with the Express Impress - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoPig1D7SJI

tl;dr - more more grinding options, consistent auto dosing and tamping. Not for everyone, but great for those wanting decent espresso shots without too much fuss.

Price History at C CamelCamelCamel.

    Been waiting for a deal on this or the Pro - it's been about this price for weeks so no real Black Friday reduction.

      With 15% off TCN gift cards Pro will cost $765 @ Good Guys. Plus you will get $70 store cash.

      I'm interested to know the differences between this and the Pro

      • The Pro has the display and 3-second heating time.

  • Yeah been waiting for the Pro. Bummed I missed the click frenzy deal!

  • Yeah, a bit of a bummer about the pro, but was keen to get something sooner rather than later :)

    • Thanks for the post anyway.. Might just grab this one!
      Cheers!

      • Why not waiting for PRO?

        • The only real advantage of the pro is more powerful steam and a few more grind adjustments, its actually worse at accurate temp control though when making multiple milk based drinks.

          • @velcrochicken:

            its actually worse at accurate temp control though when making multiple milk based drinks.
            Is that due to the ThermoJet?

  • Express or impress or pro…
    Bambino or Gaggia classics pro…
    So many choice.
    Cannot decide.
