  • Will it support AM5?

    • +3

The EVGA site indicates that it is.

AM4 coolers are usually compatible with AM5, as long as they don't implement their own backplate. (The mounting dimensions are the same.)

      • Thanks for help explain!

If you like it quiet, factor in the cost of some arctic p12/14s. I run my fans off the MB rather than the AIO, as the software doesn't let you drop below 25% (from memory).

If you're going to ditch the apparently-pretty-decent fans you might as well just buy something else with fans you're not going to replace.

      • It's still a good deal, even if you replace the fans.

    • you can set the fan curve based on cpu temp or water temp, if you use on cpu the software has the curve top at 60c and it will be pin the fans 100%, if you set to water temps just put a flatter profile and its a lot quieter.

The problem I had was I could hear at idle, which I didn't like. Once I moved the fans to the MB, they dropped from around 600rpm to 400rpm with the arctics.

        • fair enough I only just put my 5900x pc together last weekend its using non-rgb clc 280, I have noticed it still spins up a bit every now and then (nowhere near as loud as before). the evga flow software is not the greatest, and i was thinking of getting the p14's was just seeing how it goes on the fan speed based on coolant temp setting, i might just try connecting them to the M/B for better control.

          • @fr05ty: I liked the idea of it responding to coolant temp. But reality for me is cooler is complete overkill for my 12400. Whatever speed i set the fans it's fine. I just set it so that it kicks up a little from the 400rpm with system temp increase during gaming. Highest CPU temp I get with cpu at 100% is 50 degrees. Coolant always below 35. Previously CPU was 60-65 with se 224 xt and my case blew out lots more hot air.

@BPC Technology will you be adjusting your eBay store prices too?

    • +5

      Hi mate,

To be honest, not likely as ebay charges us an extra 15%.

      Cheers,

      • legend ive sent a pm

  • You have an interesting list of payment options.

    • Haha yes we do XD

  • The stock fans are awfully loud on these, if you care about noise then I'd steer clear

    • Loudest…. and coolest (2019). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGGf6Hgo3CY

For noise normalized testing these perform quite well. But they are older models hence the huge savings.

      • Exactly, infact top 3 so are there any probs going this for raptor lake?

        • I pulled the trigger along with the LGA1700 kit - $119 delivered for a 360mm CPU AIO. Not sure there are any cheaper.

      • For sure, if noise isn't a concern then this is one of the best AIOs you can get for the money
