Espresso Machine $95 Delivered/ C&C/ in-Store @ Kmart

52

Kmart seems to have replaced their Anko espresso machine with this one (which Aldi sells as Ambiano). Is it any good? I don't know; I've seen people on YouTube saying it satisfies their needs (e.g. here, here and here). I'm generally happy with the appliances I got from Kmart; they're basic but they do the job, and are not flimsy. So, if you're not a coffee buff, and especially if you always drink your coffee with milk (which masks coffees' sourness and acidity)…

This is its normal price, not any special, but I thought I'd post it anyway to replace the retired model for those looking for the cheapest available in this category.

    We post deals here, sir

Well, I asked mods to expire the previous one, so I thought it'd be only polite to post its replacement (since the other one was still posted and accepted — by mods at least — as a deal).

So they replaced the model with one at a higher price. Where's the deal?

    This isn't OzNewProducts.

Well, it's (almost) half the price of the Dedica at its lowest. Is it half as good? Doubt it. That's the deal; best cost-benefit amongst alternatives at the same price range.

I don't understand your logic. A DeLonghi machine is more because the brand is known for better quality and the machine itself will likely produce better coffees.

If you just want a cheap, basic machine $65 at Kogan or AusPost $69. If you want a brand machine, get a DeLonghi for $4 more. There's absolutely zero reason to buy this one from Kmart.

        • I don't disagree; I didn't even know of these other deals. They do look better at the low end (especially the Stilosa, which, as @Kenman pointed out, Kmart has at the same sale price as Catch, without the delivery cost). All I did was replace the item I asked mods to expire with its replacement. Having said that, what will the best deal be once Black Friday is over?

@wisdomtooth: Well considering Kogan always has sales and the AusPost RRP is $99 and they're presumably clearing stock, it'll probably last beyond Black Friday or other deals will replace them.

You could probably find better if you actually looked, all I did was type "espresso machine" into Google shopping and copied the first few links provided.

Should post that as a deal!
      I’m sorely tempted

This is e-waste, yeah it's cheap but it also has a short lifespan which will end up in the bin and add e-waste. Just get an aeropress.
