My stuff card has just become more valuable.

    • 10% off yeah?

      • Naah its 5%.. bt still a good deal!

  • Nice deal

can i get this at cole market?

    • +1

Do you mean at the Coles Supermarket. If you do then no. See the link for Coles Mobile locations.

Why are people negging him? He might not be able to spell properly but he is asking a genuine question.. Take it easy on the negs guys

      • +1

Or maybe typed it on a phone with autocorrect.

  • $707 if I buy with my discount card. But I didn't know it applied to phones.

  • +1

can you stack it with the my 5 offer?

    • +3

add SGiii to your My 5 & get 10%…noice

      • +6

Don't think sgs3 is on the my5 selection.

    • How does that work? Haven't really paid attention to this my5 thing.

  • +3

Can I get 4c/litre off the price by spending $30 in-store?

  • a link/proof would be nice

  • +2

but the DSE offer is 32Gb bundle which includes a 16gb microsd, how about this one? you can also get 5% off of the gift card for woolies group using the code from entertainmentbook

    • You can also get 5% discount on gift cards if you are an SDA (union) member.

Not everyone will have this option and buying an entertainment book to get this discount will outweigh the savings

For Aus stock outright from somewhere where you will get after sales service its not a bad price, but if you can hold on the price is sure to fall.

      • +1

True, but other than this offer the book can easily save me couple of hundreds dollars each year from groceries(coles, kmart, wish card), petrol, take away and restaurants (i can get the value of the book back from dining in 2 of my favorite places), plus, it's for charity ;)

Edit: not saying you should buy the book for the dse offer, as it take a couple of days to get the card.

        • -7

How about don't dine out at fancy restaurant and you save even more.

  • Could use the $200 Coles/Myer giftcards from the Wyndham presentation, but I've lost interest in this phone.

Also available for $739 outright from DoDo.

    • +1

Why no interest? Are you waiting for the galaxy s4?

      • the s3 LTE with 2GB RAM is about 1-2 months away.

    • Unity1- You reminded me what piece of crap that presentation was!.. Bt I'd say.. prob'ly the easiest $200!

  • +1

Is it a better deal than the $599 + shipping from Shoppingsquare?

    • no, and it's worse then the DSE deal…unless you don't need a 16Gb micro SD card for the $2 extra

      • If I were adding an SD card, I would be adding 32GB or 64GB, so that 16GB isn't going to be used anyway. And most likely it will be class 4.

        • +1

Yup. And as someone commented on the dick smith deal, the card they were offering could be found for $10. So this almost as good as the DSE deal and better for coles staff as they get 5% discount.

        • You don't even need to be a coles staff LOL. I photocopied my staff discount card. All it is is a barcode. That's all you need.

If I get a colleague who's with the SDA union to buy gift cards at 5% off, it will cost $707, and then use staff discount on top of that it should come to $672. Not bad. Though again, I'm not 100% certain the staff discount applies to mobile phones. I thought it doesn't apply to expensive things including cigarettes but I could be wrong.

          Will these phones be unlocked?

  • What's wrong with the Kogan one for $629? I see it's a UK model but has Aussie warranty (or does it?). This $745 might be a deal for Coles relative to its prior prices, but is it a deal for everyone else on the planet. Lots of sellers advertising it for less than $700, so what am I missing here with this "deal"?

    • It isn't mentioned yet OR we still have to see the full details of the deal, but its assumed that since this is available from Coles, this will be an Australian stock with 2 years of warranty and hence the positives for this deal. All the other sites are grey import and only 1 year warranty. Also, as you are aware, going through warranty with Coles is going to be very easy.

      • And it won't take 2 weeks for it to get here.

I have no problem importing them. But my sister wants one and she's too scared to buy from overseas because she's paranoid about making warranty claims and sending it back then them claiming they never received it. Irrational, but that's how some people are with online shopping. She says she'd rather spend more and buy it locally.

I'll ask her if she wants one.

I hope the $745 isn't a sale but standard everyday price.

        • Kogan is based in Australia, so what is the warranty problem here?

        • Kogan has an office in AU, but most likely it's stock is coming from HK.

  • Coles Mobile? Is there anything that Wesfarmers doesn't sell?

I woudlnt recommend this phone to many people especially for the price its still at.

The phone is bloated as hell and doesnt have much ram available to the user which really slows down the phone a lot as you need to redraw the homescreen quite often and it just slows task switching.

There is a 4g version with 2gb of ram coming in a few months and id hold off for that if you want the GS3. Otherwise id recommend looking at some other phones if you must have one now such as the One X (I havent used a onex so i cant really comment on it but people seem to like them)

Ill be swapping my S3 for the 2gb version or something else if no 3rd party roms fix the problem. I really regret rushing in and getting this on launch.

    • "you need to redraw the homescreen" - you just need to root your phone and change a setting to have superfast redraws. Its nothing to do with Lacking RAM or processor speed.Next time it slows down go into task manager— you wouldnt have used all the available ram.

Quad Core Exynos - outperforms the Snapdragon S4 (the only reason it is being used is to be compatible with LTE) - so i think you'll be looking at a downgrade.

  • Where on the URL does it say it will be $745? The picture says Vodaphone $59, which is a bit of a downer. But I hope it is $745.

If you look at the catalog picture it says something like "Free $100 coles gift card". I can't read it clearly since you can't enlarge it. But if that's the case, it's effectively gotten for as low as $572 after cashback for coles staff.

Does anyone know when this deal goes live?

    • Its on the last page. And you completely mixed the deals up :) The $100 gift card is only when you sign up for a 2 year $59 + $5 plan. Outright price is still $745. And the deal is on from today to the end of this month.

    • Seems to be the standard price and $100 giftcard is only the contract plan.
Anyway I still can't believe they are selling the SGII outright for $540. I bought this phone from unlocked-mobiles.com for like $450 AU before it even came out in Australia. The whole grey import point has never been an issue for me with any phones or cameras I've bought.

  • Shame this phone was Has a poor gfx card and no better res screen …. Really hurt it IMO so it's not worth the cash ESP no 4g / lte :-(. iPhone 5 will smash it and it's around the corner

    • Fantastic T1000 where do you get this inside info about Apples next iPhone
      jeez…
