Yep - someone needs to explain. Am clueless too. Donno how and why to use these cards. Hence always kept silent during these times. Would be helpful if someone comes forward to explain - thanks

      • +9

You buy a card for 15% off. Eg you buy a $100 card but only pay $85. Then go to the relevant store that the card can be used for and buy whatever you want for $100 using the card that you bought. You save $15. Depending on store you can use multiple cards for the one transaction. Also again depending on store you might be able to use online but you can use in store for all stores.

        • Awesome. Do you have to buy online or instore?

          • @NBSales: If you mean where do you buy the discounted cards from, then this particular deal is online only from aus post. Coles also has 15% off cards that you can buy in store (if you can find any). Different brand at Coles but same concept

    • Use these cards at JB, TGG to get 15% off whatever you’re buying.

Or buy Apple gift cards from JB using these and get 15% off Apple services and products.

      • +1

Or buy Apple gift cards from JB

That's what I plan to do. Only annoying thing I have found is that the highest denomination goes up to $200, and there are no variable load up to $500.
Not sure if this is the same with all JB stores, or just my local one?

Does TGG also sell Apple GCs?

      • Can you buy Apple gift cards with an Ultimate gift card via JB website?

        • +1

I doubt you can buy a gift card and pay with another gift card, even tough they are different gift card

          • @10JQKA: The ultimate gift cards are just visa cards. Buy $100 apple gift card and the eftpos machine will just charge you $100. Swipe and pay.

        • +1

They used to allow it but they got rid of that option a couple of months ago I think.

I successfully bought some Apple GCs using ultimate cards a few days ago at JB

      • Exactly. Store this up in your Apple account to buy the next iPhone Ultra, Watch or even the new AR/VR glasses next year. Will be annoying to get lots of $200 denomination Apple cards but scanning them into your Apple account is super easy.

    • They are stackable. I've used 15 GC in a single transaction, but there are others on much higher numbers than me.

These cards are extremely versatile. They last for 3 years, and when combined with the GC discounts(10-15% off) AND specials/price match, you get some decent savings. Much better than the discounts offered by actual retailors themselves and stackable on top even if they run a sale. They just need a bit of planning ahead in advance.

I was in the hunt for a travel stroller from Baby Bunting and their sales/promotion for that particular brand is pretty much non-existant. So what I did was price beat against a competitor(5% price beat) + 15% GC's and I saved couple of hundred bucks from it.

I am after a new TV(~$3k) at some stage, so I could get these GC's at 15% off now which is $450 in savings. Wait for a TV promotion and I could score even more savings then.

  • Perfect time to stack with 5% Cashback with Citi Credit Card

    • How do you confirm that aust post is in the list?

      • Also wondering same

  • +1

Anyone knows how long does it take for the delivery, and what happens if the cards get lost or stolen? Hope they use Registered Post for orders worth up to $1000.

    • The sender needs to lodge a case with AusPost.. oh wait

    • +3

Well, as an OzBargainer, I'm assuming you'll be using standard shipping (the free option), therefore the estimated timeframe for standard delivery is 3-10 business days. Dispatch on most orders is within 2-7 business days of receiving your order. Given the large number of orders that I can only assume will eventuate from this, then don't be surprised if it takes the full 7 business days. Hope this helps!

      • Thanks, it did. Hope the cards will arrive before Christmas.

        • +3

No joke, a recent small parcel sent from Sydney metro to Perth metro took nearly 4 weeks! If the gift card is sent from the east coast head office, keep that in mind.
          Their reason being

Heavy rain and flooding have closed the Sydney-to-Perth rail line.

  • Can you use gift cards with TGG commerical?

    • Can’t you get 10x100?

    • Doesn't check out with username.

      • +2

        I'm poor not broke

        • If you can buy $500 gift cards, you're not poor.

    • +1

      Neggers gonna hate

      • I didn't neg you BTW. Even though my avatar says so :D

        • Wasn't talking about ya guy

    • multi-account?

      Try another dating app!

  • +2

It's a shame we have to wait for these to be delivered. A few sales will probably end by the time we receive them.

  • Limit of 10 x gift cards per customer.

So, how is an unique customer defined by AUSPOST? By the postal address? Credit Card? PayPal ID?

    • Don't work in the head office so I can't tell you.

      • I guess we will figure it out tomorrow morning. LOL!

    • Is the limit 10 on each particular Ultimate gift card or just generally 10 across all the Ultimate gift cards?

      • 10 cards per transaction. However, no one knows how many transactions are allowed per customer, or if any stock will be left after 1 minute if there are bots involved.

  • Anyone know how many gift cards you can use in a TGG order?

    • +4
      • Thanks for the link

    • +1

      Online only two.

      • Damn. I need to use 5 or so.
Guess I'll just stock up and hope the next time I stumble across a tgg store, they have the printer I'm after in stock.

        • +1

Goto tgg, and get a gift card of whatever amount you wish, say 1000 and do split payment by ultimate gc. Use this tgg gift card online. As far as I know, you can put a good amount of limit in a tgg gc. Just let the person know how much you need in 1 tgg gc.

          • +1

@rkm: Great to hear! Definitely going go try and snag some then.

          • @rkm: So you can so use Ultimate gift card to purchase TGG gift cards? Do you do this in person or online?

            • +1

@abadacus: Instore, just tell them you'll do split payment with eftpos. No need to mention gift cards

  • Can you get cashback when purchasing with giftcards on sites like adidas?

    • You can only redeem Ultimate gift cards at adidas in-store. You cannot redeem Ultimate gift cards on the adidas website.

  • This would be a great deal if Ultimate Everyone was included.

  • +1

Can we use Ultimate Gift Cards (HIM) and TCN (HIM, HER, HOME) for the same transaction at JB HI-FI? I have a couple of each I would like to use for the same item at once

    • +1

      Yes

    • +4

I got caught out yesterday when I tried to buy online at JB Hifi but found out TCN cards were for in-store use only. Hope that helps u.

  • Start middle tonight?

    • the time is listed in the post.

      • The deal post is actually set to start at midnight, that should be fixed

  • +1

    Too bad no Amazon cards

Will be sitting this one out. Got enough from Coles. Good luck everyone, Auspost site will definitely crash.

  • Do we know stocks there 10-15 mins or will sold out like 3-4 mins?

  • I did not buy the last deal and now this one can't be resisted lol

  • +1

Can these card use online or in store only

    • +1

The question you are asking is whether these are VISA (both) or EFTPOS (in-store use only) cards.
      I don't think anybody knows?

    • +2

The gift cards in this deal should be the Visa version (not the older EFTPOS version), so with that assumption…:

      • Some participating retailers only accept Ultimate gift cards in-store.

      • Some participating retailers only accept Ultimate gift cards online.

      • Some participating retailers accept Ultimate gift cards both in-store and online.

      • Some participating retailers are also featured on the Ultimate gift card exchange facility, where you can exchange part or the full balance of an Ultimate gift card for a digital gift card from the participating retailer.

Please go to the individual gift card webpage for Ultimate gift card you are interested in, as that will tell you how a participating retailer accepts Ultimate gift cards.

  • Question - any interesting tips on how to use up remainder of balance on one of these ultimate cards besides getting the retailer to split the bill in person?

  • +1

I buy JB gift cards, can they be then used to buy PSN gift cards?

  • +5

Glad we don’t need to muscle in store for this. Not a fan though of the number of people who turn up in these deals trying to find a way to get more than they’re entitled to

    • Not a fan though of the number of people who turn up in these deals trying to find a way to get more than they’re entitled to

There are always a select few who will abuse any advantage given to them.

Unlimited vouchers at 15% off? Someone will buy $50,000 worth and resell it because people suck.

Look at all the comments in this thread about people asking how to do multi-accounts etc.

In reality what will happen is the site will grind to a halt tomorrow morning and some people will get lucky, while others will get nothing.

  • Cannot find Ultimate Everyone in the store?

  • -1

Is ultimate everyone also available on the website?

  • Terms and conditions for the card issuer (for the active card) show the following -
Cards are not redeemable online and are not refundable.

I read this as you need to use the giftcard instore rather than online but some of the retailers on the card, are more online than not ie. Adidas, nike, the iconic.

Anyone had any experience with using online or def must be in physical store?

  • -3

Can unused gift cards be sold easily at 15% discount? Considering picking up a few just in case

    • I'd say you could easily sell at 10% off, so you'll still be profiting

    • +1

how about you only buy them if you plan on using them yourself?

Resellers/Scalpers are a cancer on society mate.

  • +1

My last order with them for gift cards took ages to arrive.

  • if BCF is being phased out but it still says redeemable at BCF clearly on auspost page would i have a case for a return/refund if i buy some and they dont work at BCF?

  • Can you buy gift cards at office works with these

  • Can you buy Apple gift cards with an Ultimate gift card via JB website or do you have to go in-store?

    • Would also like to know this!

    • +5

Apple gift cards are only sold in-store at JB Hi-Fi, so you will need to go in-store to use the Ultimate gift card to pay for the Apple gift card.

Just keep in mind that some staff members will not let you do this, because they think customers should not be able to use a gift card to purchase a gift card. If you tell the staff member you want to pay by card or Visa card, you should be fine.

  • +1

this is gonna be absolutely insane. good luck everyone.

  • +1

I want, but at the same time it going to sell out right away and that’s too much pressure for 8am Monday morning lol. Sitting it out, hope there’s heaps for everyone (:
