NYXI HYPERION Meteor Light Wireless Joy-pad for Switch/Switch OLED

Unlike some other 3rd party joy-cons, these can operate wirelessly when removed from the Switch. They have deeper grips than the Hori Split Pad Pro

The Hyperion has adjustable rumble (not HD) but lack NFC reader. They reportedly have an improved d-pad over previous Nyxi/Binbok controllers, but this model is very new so feedback is mostly limited to youtube reviewers who received free units.

Delivery kinda kills it, I got some IINE controllers off AliExpress that are similar to these for around the same price minus delivery.

Good controllers but yeah YMMV with these third party brands.

Looks like another variant of the NYXI/binbok controller - very good deal here (under AU$50 delivered):

The Hyperion apparently fixes some of this models shortcomings, but time will tell:

      • Oh wow they're pretty cheap now, good bargain.

Only downside I have with mine atm is that if I'm only holding the right side while in handheld mode, the switch thinks I've taken the controller off and on a couple of times (suspect the contacts aren't the best quality).

Hyperion does seem good though, just need to research a decent amount with these types of controllers.

Is AU $78.49 the standard price and it’s 20% off that? Or is there a deeper discount at play here.

    • $78.49 is the regular price, 20% discount (in cart) brings this to $62.79. Unfortunately shipping brings this up to $77.59.

There are cheaper variants of the old model around (see my other comment), but none of the other brands (binbok/IINE) seem to have this new model yet.

  • Hi OP, are you using these? Would you recommend?

I have ordered one but I don't have it yet.

I'm hoping this has improvements over the previous model (which you can get under different branding for a very good price here - I was able to get this just over AU$40 delivered with store/Aliexpress discount codes). Just keep in mind that all these unknown brand 3rd party controllers have very mixed feedback on quality and durability.

If you you only care about hand-held mode, Mobapad M6 is another option at ~AU$68 shipped
