  • I purchased this and the 10% CR tracked including the GST + delivery fee. May get adjusted later.

Sounds like good value, but look at the display:

    Galaxy a33:
    1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 ratio (~411 ppi density)
My 5 year old Pixel 2 XL:
    1440 x 2880 pixels, 18:9 ratio (~538 ppi density)

Are there any phones with good screens that don't cost over $1000?

List of phones with higher than 450 pixel density and released within last 2 years

I might be confused but wasn't the Pixel like a 1400+ dollar phone on release? A33 isn't close to that price point; like isn't that a bit of an odd comparison?

Unless you plan on trying to watch movies or game on the phone what does it matter anyway, that's a fine ppi at that size.

  • Is the camera on this miles ahead of 11 pro max? Or just marginally? Never understood

  • Thanks OP

Missed the earlier deals of this phone. 10% extra off then 10% cash rewards make a good price.

  • Got one. Thanks!

  • Want to buy one. Is only black available on the site?

    • Didn't see any other colour.

      • Thanks. Shopback 3.5% is extra I guess. I am pulling the trigger too :)

  • is this dual sim? can see that the extra microsd RAM slot should mean its dual sim capable anyone can confirm?

    • I don't have this phone, but I'm assuming this is single SIM only. Couldn't find any details via Google search but generally speaking Australian Samsung phones never have 2 physical SIM slots. I've updated the description just in case people are confused about the hybrid SIM slot reference.

edit: someone else noted it does have dual sim but you might want to ask them directly for confirmation.

      • I really hope so as I bought one based on Morefromgerry’s comment from the other post!
Also messaged SydneyMobiles on eBay but no response from them yet.

        • i am talking to the samsung service center guy he says aussie variant has that MicroSD slot but it doesnt support dual sim. LOL.. i think he might be wrong. will probably need someone to go down to Bing lee and look at their demo phone slow. MicroSD slot should be hybrid for a SIM2

          • @KangaBanga: Ah bugger. Hopefully Samsung service rep is wrong but really he should know so now I’m a bit worried it’s single sim..
It’s actually shocking how hard Samsung and all the stores make it to find this simple piece of info.

            • @TwoDolla: his name was gofredo or something, i think they are all based in phillipines call center and dont have any specialised knowledge. He basically said no dual sim, only microSD slot, then said he needed to recheck then said only the a72 and a 52 had dual sim which is bull coz i have A52 5g i got last year and its single sim only without microSD expansion.

Anyways i am in QLD and cant get down to a BINGLEE, let us know when you get your phone. If its double sim i'll order one during boxing day sales price should be the same.

@KangaBanga: Received reply from SydneyMobiles who confirmed this phone is SINGLE sim only.
Thankfully managed to cancel my order before they posted it.
Props to SydneyMobiles who were very easy to deal with and cancelled my order with no fuss at all.

  • soo how is exynos these days? still a battery drainer? i remember s20 exynos and prior to that were sucking battery compared to snapdragon models

    • This is pretty similar to the Snapdragon 845, but a bit more efficient. Not bad but not incredible

    I used CYBER10 and WELCOME20 and got it for $321.10 +shipping.

    • Is the code WELCOME20 listed on cash rewards?

      • No it isn't, good point. You risk invalidating your cashback.

        • Here's something interesting. I've used Bing Lee before and was curious if WELCOME20 would be removed during checkout. When Afterpay directed me back to Bing-lee a red box popped up saying the $20 had been removed, but the payment had already gone through at $321.10.
