  • 1 gang only. That's a bit restrictive and savings not crash hot

    • Unless you’re powering a 9 bulb chandelier… you’d be cheaper off getting a hue bulb, can do more with it too.

  • Any plans to sell zigbee light switches? I haven't had much luck finding zigbee wall switches with Australian certification at a price point that would allow a whole house to be done.

    • Even more difficult to find zigbee wall switches with Australian certification in black. I ended up biting the bullet and i am doing the house in stages. I even tried to hit the supplier up for a whole house discount but the best he would do was 12%. I guess when there are so few choices they don't need to discount

I just placed an order for the whole house with 3A Smarthome, after first purchasing a single 2 gang dimmer to assess quality.

Worked as advertised, my Hue Bridge found it without issue although like any third party Zigbee products, it won’t appear on HomeKit without HomeBridge or HA.

I was about to switch my Hue Bridge over to the Matter beta which should make it all HomeKit native, but looking at the Hue dev forums it all still looks VERY beta so I’ll stick with HomeBridge for now.

3A’s switches are also Aus-certified, come in black and I personally find them to be very reasonably priced.

I have my second order from 3A smarthome on the way at the moment I like the black switches while i wouldn't say they are cheap they are cheaper than the rest of anything available in Zigbee that has Australian compliance. I also like the fact that they have a matching GPO touch to save a few dollars when i don't need the smart features.

    I wouldn't consider it a deal.
