Olympus E-M1 Mark III $2119 + $500 VISA; with 12-40mm F2.8 PRO Lens Kit $2559 + $700 VISA Card Delivered @ digiDirect & Georges

180

This used to be the flagship of Olympus OM-D series.
OM System currently has a SUMMER BONUS which gives $700 VISA card bonus for this camera + 12-40mm F2.8 Pro lens combo, effectively costing you only $1859.
A bargain considering the camera body alone used to RRP $2649. The 12-40mm F2.8 Pro lens alone is currently around $1000 at camera stores. This is the lens to have if you can only afford or want to carry only one lens for your trip (24-80mm equivalent in 35mm FF). It is on my E-M1 95% of the time.

If you want just the body, it is on sale for $2119.20, it has $500 VISA card bonus, net cost $1619.20. Expired

I am planning to get the OM-1, maybe I should just get this and sell the 12-40 to make markIII just $1000.

  • Nice deal!

  • Is this better than canon &Sony ? Haven't used dslr for a long time etc

    • Better in term of portability and IBIS, yes. Image quality and dynamic range, no.

These are great and highly capable cameras.
They use Micro Four Thirds sensors which have their pros and cons.
They will not give the performance of an apsc or full frame sensor in low light situations. For everyday shooting you would be unlikely to notice the difference.

  • Great find OP. Although the body is showing as $2649 for me on Digi Direct. Tempted to buy the kit and sell my old 12-40mm copy!

    • Digidirect black Friday sale ended last night.

    • Kit link is still $2599 at George’s.
Body only is even less this morning $2093 at Amazon AU if you are quick, only 2 in stock.

      • can you get the VISA card with Amazon?

        • If it’s sold by amazon Au, yes.

Digidirect currently have a 20% off ebay sale which includes the kit - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/353180960969 - brings it back to the $2,559.20 price again.

Handy for anyone who has any ebay gift cards.
