Original Coupon Deal

The white version of the Razer thunderbolt 4 dock not the RGB one.

yeah thunderbolt 4 docks are already ridiculously priced while Razer ones are probably making it worse.

however since this is already in discount and stack with the code makes it slightly more reasonable?

would go well with the recent used 4k monitor deal (if you don't mind the cost of the dock doubles the monitor)

and reminder that even when it says it's for macbook, I don't think the m1 macbook can get 2 external displays with it without the help of displaylink.

  • I'm looking for a dock to run 3 3440x1440 monitors through and I'm struggling to figure out if anything can :C

    • 3 Ultrawides? I think your best option would be to get a egpu instead.

      • Not supported on M1 Mac's unfortunately :C

    • Wavlink has a 4x4k 60hz one on amazon au that should be able to run that… but it's $415…
      "WAVLINK 20 Ports Universal Docking Station, 4x 4K@60Hz Display, 100W Charging, USB 3.0/USB C Dock for MacBook & Windows, 4xDisplayport, 4xHDMI, 2.5G Ethernet, 3xUSB 3.0, 10Gbps USB 3.1, PD30W USB-C, TF/SD Card Reader, 9x Tips converters "

      • Yeah, at that price I'm just gonna put up with using 3 cables 🥴

    • +1
    • +2

Just curious, what is your use case for running 3 ultrawide monitors concurrently?

      • +1

I had 1 for a while but wanted a 2nd display, but also didn't want a middle seam. So picked up an extra 2 when they were on sale

I put all 3 on arms and it's actually been amazing; I have so much room for activities!

I like being able to have things in my periphery so I don't forget about them or can easily turn my head to reference. I know it seems excessive, but that doesn't really matter and I've found value in having the 3

    • Not sure, but I use this exact dock at home on my MacBook with a 3440x1440p@100hz via HDMI and 4k@60hz monitor with no issues.

That should be similar in bandwidth to 3x 3440x1440p@60hz monitors.

  • Am I blind or does it not take HDMI or DP in?

Is it a USB-C only input for monitors?

    • Technically it's an output, but yes you'd need HDMI/DP to Type-C cables

  • I got seduced by the new LogiDock to replace my still working Wavlink one. But I do appreciate that this Razer dock has a SD Card reader slot.

    • Skip the logidock if you are using multiple monitors. Logidock's connector bandwidth is a big restriction. I have got one for my wife since she only needs one ultrawide monitor for her work.

  • I think I am missing something, 8K is mentioned in the Overview but not in Tech Specs. TB4 should be able to do at least 8k@60Hz right?

  • I paid 390 just a few days ago and bought one from Wireless1 ebay store and now it is $60 cheaper. Should I return it?

Although there is no HDMI ports, i managed to hook up a USB-C to HDMI adaptor and i can run 4k@120hz on LG C2 without any issue.

This dock also works with M1 mac if anyone is interested, but there is no 4K 120HZ if you use HDMI port(Mac limitation) TB4 - DP should be fine.
