Deal is not good as Galaxy Fold

    Where is deal for fold?

  • +5

Not a good deal considering the EPP and Education prices on the Fold4. I picked up the Fold4 for $1,399.44 with the recent Samsung EPP bundle deal, I had to bundle some other things with it but you could easily return them using Samsung free returns or buy with friends or ozbargain memebers.

    • Somone mentioned on the older bundle deal that samsung knew they were part of bundle and will refund you less

      Very last comment page 2

    • Yeah sure , if you have access!

      • There were quite a few ozbargain members offering to bundle with others.

    Cheaper than 7900xt

Wouldn't buy. Mine got sand or grit in it and would not unfold properly. It cost 900 to repair as the hinge needs to be replaced. It was fun while it lasted but this phone is not ready for prime time!

    • fold 3 or 4?
I got the 4 - really like the phone; wouldn't go back personally BUT am always conscious abt it - ie beach. dropping etc.

i got fold 3, went to Sydney beaches couple of times, no issue at all

      • +1

JerryRigEverything poured dirt/sand over the hinge of the 4 and couldnt get any to stay inside, seems pretty resistant to those sorts of issues now.

I wonder what model the commenter above had the issue with. I heard the 1 and 2 were quite prone to it.

        • +1

yeah, 1 and 2 are really not good… if you need to buy at least get 3

  • Bundles, EPP,. Education…… Those are different purchase channel and different purchase condition.

For a one year old fold phone buying outright the is a very good deal.

And to make it better if you are into contracts, you can combine with the $99 per month gift card deal and only pay 299 for the phone. This the perfect device for all that data with the $99 plan. Two year two the line if you want to trade up, you will still get $400-$500 of credit.

got mine over a year ago for like 1300. this is still expensive but nice phone otherwise, just really really heavy. just be aware the factory applied screen protector on the inner screen starts coming off in like 11 months and samsung offers a free replacement once within a year otherwise its like $99 to replace.

    • hows the battery ?

      • lasts me the whole day but i wouldnt say im a heavy user and i have battery saver on so it only charges to 85%.

        • How come a year ago already so cheap? Was it from the trade in bonus and they dont ask to send the trade in phone?

  • Got excited thinking this was z fold 4

    • Got excited thinking Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G for $1,000

  • Now can be purchased for $1424.05 with OW price beat.

  • My 2 is currently in warranty as it won't open fully after 1 year of use. Hopefully they fix it without stuffing something else up as it wouldn't have been the first time a careless samsung tech fixes one problem then creates another.

It's a great device in general, but to be honest i'm in the market for a slab phone as I'd rather spend my time on something else other than dealing with things like this.
