Just to clarify for anyone interested - It's a single box with two of everything except the power supply.

    • Yeah if you get a single one for $75 it is better value because of the power supply situation. I have 5 which consisted of two double packs and one single pack. Three PSUs is probably about right for that number. Each PSU has three sockets.

  • Both run off the same PSU then, right?

    • +1

correct. The Power supply has 3 ports on it to connect up to three of these lights

  • If you see $10 coupon, remember to apply, it brings the final price to $1390

    • You must have promo credit.

What! Why is the $10 coupon worth $1241!!! Thats not that great of a value if you ask me…but to each their own :p

    • +2

That is the worst coupon I've ever seen …

Technically, slightly more expensive than the expired one deal as that was $69 each.
Wondering if I can bring myself to buy what’s cool but seriously overpriced…

    • Lol join the club. :)

I bought some of these during black friday sales, as I already own a number of their bulbs, bridge, switches, etc. Gotta say I feel disappointed by them. I use them behind me TV and for PC gaming with their HueSync app, shooting up the wall and they're just not as bright as I had hoped. I'd have probably gotten better results with a regular Hue color bulb. I'd say if you don't need them specifically to project light in a single direction, don't bother. They're way overpriced for what they are

I just want white light, so I use a desk lamp shooting up the wall behind the TV 😆

      • Yeah before these I just had some generic RGB strip light from Ebay for $15 which honestly does 90% of what these new lights do. I will say though that I like walking into the room and hitting the switch and all the lights turn on together with preset colors. Is it worth $150 though? Probably not haha

And there is my cue to avoid an impulse buy. Thanks for the feedback and for giving me a reason to talk myself out of it.

      • No worries. I wish I'd seen them in person before buying. They're surprisingly small and it sucks to open the box and have that "oh… is that it?" feeling. They still work just fine, but they're underwhelming

Same response I get when my wife takes off my pants 🤣🤣

    • These are lights for effect, not for illumination. The item listing itself shows how much light you can expect to get.

For what its worth, the last time they were cheaper was nearly two years ago, so hesitate at your peril if you are considering them.

I have half a dozen of these in various places around my lounge room. The WAF is very high.

I was interested after seeing this deal but now realising you have to fork out another $500 just for it to sync up with your tv is a travesty.

    • You can use an nVidia Shield instead, and install the Hue Sync app on it.Cheaper option.

  • I find this promo code AUFIRSTHI please try it if you need this item. good luck

    • I think is targeted, I got this "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."

  • Is 2 suitable for a 98” TV? Asking for no reason at all.

      Need 2 pack x 2 😆

  • Really, for the best effect, you need the sync box too?

    • I mean, you can use it without the sync box like a normal light if that's your interest

    • I think it needs the box to sync with colors on the tv

      • That's what I meant. Otherwise it's just an expensive light.

  • I found this article and will test it when mine arrives. Downfall is you have to use Amazon Firestick and supposedly won't work with Netflix

  • I'm deep in the Hue ecosystem but even I'd find it hard to justify the cost of these and a syncbox vs say the Govees.
