As for the upcoming 3070 build, I know many people are looking forward to the release of this deal, and so are we! However, we have experienced serious logistic issues with the chassis and some other parts. We just couldn't deliver this build while some of those parts are not in stock.

We want to be fully honest with you about what happened and we sincerely apologize for this wait. The stock should be arriving next January.

Btw we also have a fantastic deal for RTX 4080 Gaming PC coming this afternoon, we will post it in a new deal soon.

Take care, and we wish you and your family a joyful holiday!

Warmly,
BPC Team

Have to thumbs down because there was a deal with the exact same spec for $200 less not too long ago: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/744197 Granted the brand of parts will vary, and I'm not privy to the quality of customer service for either company, so ymmv

    • +1

and mind you the parts in this build are by and large not exactly high-end anyway

    • +8

I have to say, at least BPC Technology let you know what parts are being used.

    • +4

The other difference is that by saving $200 you're waiting until new years for it to be shipped. So waiting a month or longer is worth $200 less for some.

This deal beats both I think.

      • Yup we need BPC tech and others try to get closer to that price

    • Also the fact 3080 10gb builds have been posted with this kinda price since over a year ago

    • +1

Hey am I missing something? That deal seems to not be $200 less, says they're both $1799? Was it edited since perhaps

      • You're right it's been marked down, it was $1999 when I originally replied

        • Oh so when BPC first posted this deal it wasn't 10% off? AND it happened to be $200 more than the one posted prior from Techfast I gotcha.
That's fair enough I really have no stake in the claim was just contemplating buying this build so cheers for informing me!

After waiting for this deal, another huge disappointment. Worse than the Techfast deal, let alone the Titantech deal.

    • +4

Same, really bummed none of them are really bothered in delivering a killer deal. I've got money in my hands and ready to buy but none are worthy of my cash.

      • +1

Same here. Been holding back until a good deal comes along. Knowing the tech fast deal that was just posted 2 weeks ago, this ain’t a deal at all.

      • Same boat have not gotten a desktop over 12 years waiting for a good deal missed the Titan one

        • +2

You're very patient I would not be able to wait for 12 years for a deal to come along

          • @bindok: lol in the meantime i have been using laptops here and there and on Console gaming for a while. Have not touched PC gaming for a while

    • Adding onto the above, since I've got access to my computer now for formatting - this build is significantly worse for value than the Titantech build which although $150 more now than when originally posted, is still better value.
      Previous Titantech Post

From a purely parts perspective, the Titantech build seems better value still:

      • 5600X instead of i5-12400F (with cheaper upgrades to higher core options e.g. BPC Tech wants $439 to upgrade to i7 despite a <$300 price difference)
      • 1TB > 500GB SSD ($59 upgrade from BPC Tech)
      • Windows Installed and Activated ($159 upgrade from BPC Tech)
      • More options for upgrades

I applaud BPC Tech for their consistent transparency with parts but after this comment on their last post earlier this month - I'm quite disappointed but will hope they hold true for their 3070 deal mentioned in the post.

Hi! We have a new exciting 12TH Gen i9 + RTX 3070 Build in the coming week! Stay tuned!

      • +1

Why would you put i9 with 3070 - and i5 with 3080 lol.

      • Isn't the i5-12400F slightly better than 5600X?

        • +1

Depends in which aspects, quite similar. Could upgrade to a 5800x for $1979 in the previous deal that would beat it out still for performance and price.

Only upgrade with BPC Tech is an overpriced i7-12700k.

Logged in for the first time in a year to show my disappointment. Terrible deal - somehow worse than the TechFast deal.

  • +3

Quite disappointing, glad I supported the Techfast deal 2 weeks back.

  • @BPC Technology you don't still do fully custom builds by any chance do you?

    • +1

      Hi!
Yes we do fully custom builds.
Feel free to talk to our sales team about your custom build by phone or through email please.

Best wishes for a joyous Christmas!

  • Any intel version of the 4080 deal?

    • Hi,
We have just updated the custom options for the Intel CPU of the 4080 deal.
Also we have added more Cooler options.

Would love for someone to put together a quality build, one that would appeal to a lot of people on ozbargain so that the store could post it as a deal. These prebuilds always have some crappy parts/combinations.

I'm holding out until one of these stores on ozbargain post a premium build for a change. Would love to see something around $4000 with ddr5 & rx 7900 xtx. The prebuilds on the bpc website around the $4000 range are laughable using last gen parts when you can build something in that price range with the latest gen

    • 100%. I'd love an i5/i7 13th gen, 4000 series, ddr 5 at that price point. There's a catch with everything.

  • +2

Price reduced! And it seems like a CPU cooler was added.

COOLER>>Jonsbo PISA A5 Grey High Performance CPU Cooler

Any pros here recommend this build and pricing now after the change?

    • Is the cooler enough to cool the upgraded CPU 12700kf?

    • Reduced to what price ? I still see it as $1999 and 10% discount?

      • Was there a 10% discount in the original post? I thought it was just added today.

        • -1

Just added today so it's still not great because it doesn't have Windows OS included

          • @neonlight: You do realise you can buy second hand keys extremely cheaply right?

            • @iseeyou1312: Well there's a lot of grey market I do not know which one is legitimate and reliable. Unless you can point out some sources

              • @neonlight: Well, they mostly sell OEM keys which are legit in Australia, but the problem is you can't transfer them between PCs - but you might be able to if you link the licence to a Microsoft account (not 100% sure on this). However at like $15-20 a pop it doesn't really matter if you're switching mobos every 5-10 years. I've bought ones from SCDkeys in the past and had no problems, they sent me a new key when one didn't work.
I've also have bought $4 Ebay keys which were not legit, but still activated windows fine. But it seems Ebay has banned deals like that from their platform.
You can also use windows without activating it perfectly fine. You'll just get a watermark in the bottom right hand corner and lose a few features like not being able to set a desktop background.

  • After looking at all the deals, this seems to be the best one ? Can any computer enthusiasts give me a second confirmation?
