Hi, looking for a suggestion for a steam mop to use for rabbit urine on tiled surfaces.

Are you also taking the piss ?

        • Just hopping mad

  • I would have thought it’d be better to use water to clean with a steam mop. What does rabbit pee have in it that makes a good cleaning product, something from carrots? How do you collect enough rabbit pee to fill the reservoir?

  • Just hire Alex Forrest to fix it.

I just use Rufus & Coco Wee away or you can go the cheaper option of Simple Green Pet Stain and odour remover from Bunnings. That's what I've used for my rabbit the past 10 years to clean his litter tray. He's litter box trained so he has yet to piss outside of it, shits on the other hand are a different story but they're easy to sweep up.

    • Thanks for some actual advice unlike the other comments on this thread. Will definitely give this a try. Our rabbit is also litter box trained, however she has a tendency to also run around right afterwards, making a bit of a mess everywhere.

The Rufus and Coco Wee Away is an enzyme cleaner so it gets rid of all the smells, I use it for cat pee as well. I've tried other brands of enzyme pet cleaners but Rufus and Coco has the most pleasant smell and easiest to get as Woolies sell it.

I have the kmart steam mop which has been going good for the last year but I wouldn't recommend for urine because once you go over urine with it just running the steam mop will make your whole house reek like piss until you clean the mop pad.
