JURA GIGA 6 Automatic Coffee Machine $3889 (Was $6490) Delivered @ David Jones

90

I was just browsing some Boxing day deals and saw the above listed at David Jones so I thought I'd post it in case it helps someone.

I personally didn't buy it as I'm not in the market for a new coffee machine so I'm not sure if its any good for the price.

If I was in the market though, I reckon I would have bought 50. /s

  • That's almost a coffee a day from a real barista for 1000 days.

You don't buy these for economics. You buy them to impress the visitors.

Nah, you do buy them for the economics:

We currently have 12 espressos a day (6 double shots) (it was more, but the kids have moved out).

The beans we like (grown in Australia) currently cost $53/kg delivered - that's 140 shots per kg, or $0.37 per espresso.

If we bought them at the local cafe, that would be - 6 double shots at $3.5 each or $21 per day vs $4.54 per day. We save $16.46 per day.

We would save $6,007 per year by owning this machine (and we bought a much cheaper Saeco machine nearly 10 years ago).

It is saving $6,000 a year that impresses the visitors.

        • And still you are on ozbargain?

  • If your spending this much you’d probably opt for a better machine anyway.

  • They had an extra 10% off last week. Hopefully they bring back that deal.

  • These are really amazing machines, however all of the extra tech and capacity is really wasted on home use unless you are drinking 15-20 cups at home as a minimum. Great for a small office though! (Fyi, the machines is BIG!)

  • How does the Jura brew unit compare to a Delonghi?

Delonghi is a pressurised, small diameter, yet deep puck..so not ideal.

Considering looking at a second hand Jura.
