  • I almost brought this early in the week. But I paid some more and got the A73 instead. But that is a good price for the specs, just the updates might be a bit suspect with Motorola.

    • When did "some more" equal almost 2.5x

  • Is this phone ok as a spare to fly 7-11 chopper?

    • +1

No, the process is very complex on Android. Better off buying a pre-owned iPhone for chopper.

This particular phone hasn't got any development section on xda developers so you would be in for a bit of work to get the chopper flying on it.

      • Android 12 can't fly?

      • Any iPhone will be Ok?

    • Install NOX on your laptop. Installation and setup took about an hour for me but it worths

      • NOX still works for 7/11? I thought they closed that a while ago. Been using an old phone with masked root instead.

  • "Model:
    moto g62 5G
    Processor:
    Snapdragon 480+ 5G Mobile Platform with 2.2GHz octa-core KryoTM 4"
    Really!?

    • Is that bad? I just bought g62.

      • +4

Sorry to cause alarm - I was thinking it must be a misprint on eBay but it's not.
I'm more used to seeing 6-series on the $300-600 motorolas and 7-series in $500+ ones. So i may have mis-assumed the 480 was quite old and low-level.
However this is a SD 480+ 5G introduced in 2021, and it's part of the Moto G series, rather than the budget E series so please trust daffyd's comment more than my surprised one.
The moto G32 linked by OP has a SD 680 (albeit only 4G and only 4GB RAM) so you can perhaps understand my confusion. The current Moto G range makes little obvious sense to me - in fact it's been confusing for a number of years.

    • +7

Despite the numbering, the 480+ is faster than the 680 for single-core performance and gaming (although neither will set the world on fire in terms of speed)

    G82 for $200 or bust.

    • +4

Came for the obligatory g82 comment

    • +1

I know, this broke me, now I look at all other phone deals and just nope.

      • +2

        Typed on my G82

  • 4G…at this price?

    • Your observation skills are bang on. Well done.

  • +1

$204.99 for eligible users with the spend and save code SNSMD3…

  • +3

    219 in bigw

Grabbed 2 of these for 200 when JB had the price issue. Gifted them to a brother and mother. They both were using absolute potatoes so were very happy with their upgrade. Had a play around with it, for 200? It's a decent deal/phone. For it's RRP, questionable.

    • +6

i grabbed the G51 for $200 from jb

really is an excellent phone, 6/128 and 5g and 120hz screen and a really nice camera

    • +6

The price error was G82, a much better phone than the G32. For starters, G82 has 6gb ram rather than 4gb ram in G32.

      • +1

Ah yes. Sorry whatever the phone was I got for the pricing error. Was a bloody good deal. Hence why I snapped up 2. :)

  • +2

    hello moto

    • +2

      Terrible phone power up sound

      • Easily turned off, so who cares.

        • What turns you on then mate?

    • +2

Lol that actually used to be my password at uni hehe

  • +2

4GB RAM cannot handle the app demands in 2023.

    • +1

      what app?

      • +2

E.g. Google Maps, Waze, and Uber (driver and rider). Other open apps get slow when they are running at the same time.

        • +1

3gb ram still running fine for me but maybe legacy Android 8 is less demanding

    • Anything with 6gb in this price range?

Trying to find something for a coworker who in has 2gb ram on a Nokia 2.3. almost unusable but they don't have much $$ to spare.

      • Wait for the Motorola G51 to drop to $200 again from JB HIFI

        • Yeah looks like it would be perfect. Hopefully comes up again.

      • Ha, I have the Nokia 2.3. It does make you wait quite a while sometimes but it can vary quite a bit. Sometimes I'm at peace with it, other times it can just hang. Other times it's strangely snappy. Closing apps does help in the interim.

  • AU $202.36 at Allphones ebay using JAN202312 for plus members… $206ish if non-plus

  • -1

Looks like the price on the G62 has gone up substantially (?). Please can you check and amend this deal if so?

    • Thanks, I have updated accordingly.

  • Anyone know much about the quality of the glass on this phone? Apparently Panda glass? Anything to worry about?

  • Expired. Mobileciti have put their price up to $288.99, or $274.54 with the coupon code.
