Good quality Port, (or dessert wine like the label says), great for drinking, super for cooking. Last time the deal was better when they threw in that carton of Crownies, but this time it's not bad either for 3.99 a bottle + delivery = $58.88

I am about to finish that dozen I purchased at the last special, so they've got my order in already :-)

    It's good stuff. 12 bottles of it is quite a lot, but it should keep for a few years as it is fortified wine.

      I totally disagree with you. The port is as good as many other $10-$20 ones you can buy at your local store. I suspect either you don't like the taste of port, have severely damaged taste buds or there was something wrong with your bottle.

        Grab anything from Seppeltsfield. Even their cheapest offering will be light years ahead of this.

        And I love port (and fortified wine in general).

        How is it compared to the cheapest Penfolds Tawny (~$12)? That's what I usually drink.

      must neg - ohhh pleassseee. Why not read the guidelines whicch you MUST do before you neg!!!!!

      But given that the community looks like its going to remove your "must neg", I leave it to them.

      IF you MUST do these things be aware where you are breaking the guidelines.

      I see points in them.

      1. You dont neg based on now unavailable previous prices.
      2. The port taste is a very personal thing.

      While its appreciated that the port may not be of liking, and thanks for sharing that warning, its not neg voting material

      Or you can do the right thing and remove the vote yourself.

    It is a decent port shared some on Friday with my friends and some cigars, they all liked it. Get sick of it after a while though.

    I bought this on the last deal, nice enough port, especially for the price but the company is the pits. They will spam you almost daily with emails and then when you don't buy more stuff off their newsletter they'll start phoning you and trying to sell you more. Their business practices left a really bad taste in my mouth.

      I bought this port back in March from them. I like it. I signed up for their emails and yes they are frequent but I could opt out if I want. They've never attempted to phone me.

      I think your neg is harsh on the OP, a comment relating your concerns would have been enough.

    Its not average. Its quite good. A wine writer called Bob gave it 93 points and I don't think you can get cellar door port for $6 a litre?
