Bought this for $399 last month. Wait if you can or wait for Aldi to bring out the Neo again.

As others have said, unless you're desperate, wait for the $399 price tag. It's a great carpet and hard floor vacuum, but a shitty mop. If you want a good mop for hard wood, tiles, vinyl flooring, look at the Hobot Legee 7 (not the D7, just the plain 7) … but you can't use that one for vacuuming carpets.

I bought this for $699 for the N8+ with the base station in November. It's worth having the base station so you don't have to constantly empty the machine.

Just a word of warning, they have woeful after market service. My N8 didn't come with the mopping plate needed to use the mop function. The pad is just a piece of plastic. Nothing fancy, and wouldn't be expensive. I contacted them and said "Hey can you send me the pad?".

The person I spoke to told me to speak to Amazon, even though they were the seller through Amazon. She eventually just took down my details and said she'd get back to me. They never did. I ended up emailing them. Their only solution was to insist I return the entire device (which I no longer had the box for) for a full refund. I just wanted the mopping plate. They have an online store, so there's someone in Australia sending out stuff. But they just wouldn't do it.

Ended up buying from on Ali Express instead.

Honestly, I'm not sure I'll buy one again in the future.

  • Does this come with Poe injector

    • Username checks out

  • went to the Ecovacs website to see how the specs compare to the old one we have and see they're showing a $230 discount from the RRP. $699… reducing to $469: https://www.ecovacs.com/au/deebot-robotic-vacuum-cleaner/n8

  • Amazon have dropped the price to $449. Agree with Nathanos, I've seen this at $399 not too long ago on Amazon, so if you can wait, do so.

I have been monitoring the Yeedi vac 2 pro for a good few weeks now (since I saw, and missed, this deal), and they have been yo-yoing their price and discounts. Generally still results in it being around $389-$399 (currently $389). Managed to find it cheaper on eBay this week from the Yeedi Official Store (for $311), but they didn't have enough stock to allow for an OzBargain post. They still have the drag-a-mop version available for $303.99 ($296.39 if you have eBay Plus), just not in huge quantities.
