Microsoft hardware cashback offer
Purchase one or more selected genuine Microsoft® Hardware products between 1st November 2008 and 31st January 2009 and you can redeem a Cash Back to the value of 25% off the recommended retail price (including GST).
As an example, I saw at my local Officeworks store the Microsoft Lifecam VX-6000 webcam for $69.95 (way under RRP). With a $35 cashback, that makes it $34.95 - bargain if you ask me.
Note I’ve set the expiry date as 31/01/2009, however, you have until 28/02/2009 to mail in your vouchers to claim the cashback.
I bought 3 items under the last MS Hardware 30% of RRP Cash-Back deal, and it took around 3 months for the rebates to be credited to my bank account. I also bought the items during a good Harvey Norman sale and so paid around only 30% NETT of the RRP in the end. These MS rebate deals can be worth the wait, especially if you can purchase well under RRP to start with - as Smigit stated above.
Cheers,
Live Long and Prosper.

No doubt, I got the Wireless Bluetooth Entertainment Desktop 8000 on 19 months interest free & payment differed for $225, I got my $135 rebate already, so I am up $135 cash and when I do pay it off it in 1.5 years it only cost me $90. $450 RRP.
My point was more you need to stay on top of them or you will simply forget and they will take advantage of that fact. If I was that guy with out the 25% cash back, I would complain to Fair Trading as I really think they do purposely do not pay and only do so after you make numerous calls
One little point to note: MS website shows a “Wireless Laser Mouse 8000”, RRP$129.95 which is the same price as the “Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000”.
However, Harris Tech says the latter has a cashback value of $35 and the former with cashback value of $40. Even more confusing is that if you buy the “Wireless Laser Mouse 8000” you’re meant to input that as the “Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000”….
I believe it should be fine if you are buying the retail product (with retail packaging). For example, some webcams sold at Umart and other places are in an OEM form (eg. just comes in a plastic bag) - I don’t think you could get a cashback for such items - unless if they didn’t put “OEM” on the invoice.
