Reasonably Priced Aesop-Like Candles?

Want to grab a couple candles for the house. What can I say I'm fancy 💁‍♂️

I'm not much of a scent guy but I dislike 'cheap' scents. Which I think really just means I don't like sweet scents or scents with one strong note like pine or vanilla. It all just smells like toilet freshener to me.

I'm looking for something that's along the lines of Aesop (their Ptolemy candle is my favourite) or Le Labo's candles but I'm not trying to spend ~$150 on a friggin candle. $50-60 would be reasonable.

    Have you tried Glasshouse candles?

They have a wide range so hopefully there's a stockist near you to take a look (sniff?) to find something which matches your tastes. Personally I dislike scents that are too sickly sweet but Glasshouse have a bunch that are softer and well balanced.

    • Haven't tried Glasshouse or Ecoya, will have to track some down to give 'em a sniff!

      • Peter Alexander stores have a glasshouse scent going at all times, so you can just visit the store lol.

edit. i guess it works for sales. should be good right?

That Glasshouse scent is Tahaa (not sure what it’s called with the new packaging). OP would be better off visiting David Jones for a wide range of scents

Glasshouse or Apelles are pretty good at decent price. Apelles you can only get them online. Glasshouse you can usually get them at Costco if you have access to a Costco store.
